I use a video projector in the backyard and the audio is provided by boombox via bluetooth. I noticed that every speaker I tried has an unnerving latency: the audio track of the movie sounds out of sync. This is to say that latency in bluetooth is definitely an issue: anyone who wants to use boombox for home theater is better off using cables.
