Polyend Tracker +

But you can use those 3 synths on 8 tracks. At least I think so. If it is like the Play+ anyway.

Oh. Yeah. You mean the effects like normalize, truncate, etc? That is correct. Personally I am sure why you would want most of those as realtime?

i didnt like them because they were slow, thats really the only drawback. and waiting for that EQ to slowly work its way to the end only to have a nearly unnoticeable effect on the audio felt like a spit in the face each time.

Isnt there more than that? Sample rate etc.

Bit reduction is a per instrument parameter. I get the annoyance of waiting. It can definitely be obnoxious.

I wonder if the FM radio is stereo

With the update, the Mini seems like a really appealing bit of kit for me now. Sketch something out on the sofa, and then bring it to my setup either via USB straight to Ableton, or use the midi tracks to compose with the built in synths on the fly and then send them out as midi data to play my PreenFM2 and Analog Keys for the recording.

Yeah the mini is very much on my radar now for the same reason.

Is it confirmed it’s getting the synth updates? Anytime frames for it? So effectively it will become the mini+??

Same here.

I’m worried about the jog wheel and buttons, but every review says no one misses them. I’m now thinking the combo of that and an iPad is pretty killer. With one USB cable you could have an insane setup.

yep, mini os2.0 is currently in beta. it has the same features at tracker+. synths etc.

Perfect-thanks

Exactly what I’m thinking. I worried slightly about the pads and jog wheel, but to be honest I didn’t fine the pads great to play (and can always connect a separate controller). Does seem like a really good portable option.

You can now connect a USB cable to any smart phone and use it as a keyboard. I also have a Korg Nanokey that will do the same.

a guy on polyend forum is developing an attachment for the mini atm, plugs in the bottom n has a 1 Oct keyboard, a few buttons n speakers. looks pretty slick, tho ngl I wish they’d implemented that sh1t in the device to begin with.

The Mini is too weirdly in-between for me, personally. If I’m willing to drop the jog and keyboard in favor of portability, I’m much happier going all the way with an M8. If I don’t care about portability, I want the jog and keyboard.

But, you know, embarrassment of riches and all that. So many great tracker options these days!

I’m becoming increasingly tempted by a Tracker Mini, especially with some of the new features, synths etc. I feel totally bored and uninspired with my computer and software lately, I really feel the need for something truly portable so I can sit somewhere else with a pair of headphones or a portable speaker and just noodle a bit away from my desk (where I sit and work from home all day).

I might wait and see what else might show up in the following days/weeks from Superbooth. There is chatter about an OP-Z field or something like that, or maybe some other portable devices.

Of course, you can wait forever for some possible new product that may or may not be the next greatest thing since sliced bread!

Are you sure about that? I presumed that the only reason a phone works with an OTG cable is that the phone can act as MIDI host, which the nanokey would not be able to do.

add something like this and you have your portable Tracker, the mini looks too weird to use handheld.

cool little power bank that. I have one for my play+ (I have a bunch of different power banks). it works great apart from that when connected it covers the power button (on the play, no idea about tracker)

so when you plug it in you have to slide something like the 3.5mm jack from your headphones in between the bank n the unit to turn it on. not a deal breaker by any means but good to know.
