Polyend Tracker +

Given Polyend’s awful track record for releasing very unfinished firmware, probably not tbh

They polled the users on Backstage and people wanted to keep the radio. I am glad they kept it.

Most of those issues have been gone for awhile.

Hardcoded sample time?

I think 6 minutes of stereo and 12 of mono.

It depends on where you live IMO, from my point of view the radio is quiet useless as almost every italian broadcast play just pop music and endless ads!

No, you have to render the edits you do on samples, you can’t change them in real time

omg they added soft touch to the buttons…?
let’s hope this is not that darn awful material that starts melting eventually and becomes sticky

they use silicone which apparently doesn’t do that. but tbh I wish they wouldn’t. the previous hard plastic didn’t need changing imo.

:diddly:

This looks tempting…

I’m surprised this isn’t getting more chatter over here. I think this new version has a lot of potential. Going to try to get my hands on one to review. The new synth engines will soon be on the Tracker Mini as well. Curious to hear the full scope of their sound potential.

A lot of conversation already happened over on the Tracker (non plus) thread. But I agree. This is a real game-changer for me, and I imagine a lot of others who are in to trackers but not sampling per se.

Is there a manual anywhere for this?

Considering it over the new digitakt but would like to know the feature list

Should this thread perhaps be merged with the existing non-plus thread? There’s lots of good PT info over there and most - if not all - of it will also apply to the +.

Yes please…

I feel it’s just as much a different device from the original as the Digitakt II is from OG Digitakt and DTII has at least three score and ten threads of its own.

Spoilered to not be as distracting

The Play+ stuff is all in the Play thread. The Polybrutes and MPCs all have one thread. As somebody perpetually interested in a PT, and more interested in the +, having to scour two threads for information will be a pain.

On-topic: do we know if it’ll have the same three-synth limit as the Play+?

Yes unfortunately, noted at 2:06 in this video:

I understand the polyphony limitation, but I can’t imagine a technical reason that they’d have to limit patch count.

Preset per pattern would be very much welcomed for the synths
