Wow that module seems to be the opposite of fun
Different strokes
Now shits about to get interestingā¦I canāt wait to here what a real tracker master will do with this beastā¦oh and check da booty shotā:peach:

I love the design of it. The colors, the size, etc. Makes you just want to grab it and see what it does.
The size is really something! Less than a week, and we can quit all our hilarious speculative ādecision making.ā Who am I kidding?! After we know the release details, weāll speculate about update possibilities and MKIIās release date. (said with love)
gotta say I like my gear with a little more chunk in the trunk at least thick enough for standard din midi.
I definitely respect his opinion but boy do I do an eye roll when ever anyone calls a new musical instrument a game changer.
that said I think this will be a fun box for sure! each new video makes it a bit more tempting to me.
from what weāve seen so far (wavetable, granular, various loop options, one shot, slice, low/high/band pass filters etc) hardware interfacing, Iām definitely on board with da monies readyā¦now to put a little context in the mix, this is a brave product from a small company, putting together and packaging a concept product that most have never been exposed too or were even aware of (various comments above prove this)ā¦that said Polyend have put their big toe in this product, but this is round one, so outside of the obvious production ready hardware, Iām sure weāll see further software updates as they receive feedback from testers and users as the product matures.
I agree Iād love to see at least 4 control lanes for sequencing parameters instead of two, but Iām going to expect that this will probably come in a future update. Iām sure at this stage they want to see how users react to a ānewā platform and adjusting complexity from there
I hear you, but I donāt think heās the type of person who says that kind of thing with a grain of salt. In his gear review videos heās pretty grounded.
Real world reviews will be interesting.
Tracker (whatever the cost) vs laptop and tracker at same cost.
The form factor is outstanding. I guess Iām now in the ācanāt wait to see what the interface and workflow is like.ā As much as I love my elektrons, I do sometimes wonder if the workflow is somewhat confining. Then I remember that I really ought to learn the Arranger in Octatrack. Everything always goes back to OT, haha.
Seriously though, I would be approaching this Polyend box with basically zero experience with anything Polyend or trackers. It could either be supremely confounding, or sublimely refreshing.
edit: Red Means Recording posted a picture on Twitter of his beta unit, so it appears that he was released from Elektron jail!
I want to buy one. I wish other companies would follow elektron and have them ready to ship the day they announce it.
noooooooo try once more, theyāre fun, you just have to learn all the command and all. I know how you feel though, Iām in the middle of learning an octatrack
I just spent a couple of hours with Renoise. Iām in love.
Which I happen to love, thošit was me and the OT for a good five years or soā¤ļø
I havenāt felt a love this immediate since I discovered drinking.
With renoise, I mean.
Iām actually really happy that Polyend has made some new Renoise fans. Iāve been preaching this software for 8 or 9 years now and nobody seemed to care.
Thats a no brainer for me, i havenāt been this excited for a product launch since the Octatrack.
so DIN midi is seeming unlikely currently?
Having it on a 3.5mm socket is basically just as good, I just leave 4 or 5 MIDI cables with the dongles already connected hanging around the studio and never have to hunt for one. Itās even better than a full size DIN when youāre using two pieces of gear that both use 3.5mm, itās great and so easy. Obviously for large keyboards, audio interface, etc I still prefer full size.
Haha, your posts from ātryā to āhateā wasnāt too long, that is exactly how I roll too
When you know, you know
