I have a new mk3 and the note button would stick 50-60% of the time. After 48 hrs of on and off use, it is mostly fixed now.
Just wanted to quickly add that my Tracker Mk1 made its way back from Poland! The jog wheel is smooth as butter and the audio input now works in stereo. They even threw in a cool Polyend pullover hoodie!
picked up a Beebo last week and iām loving it in combo with the Tracker!
Hahahahahhha
This fixed one of my concerns, thanks!
Hey there Tracker interested Elektronauts ! Here is a new Tracker Tips & Tricks going online in about 20 minutes. Feel free to join in the chatroom from now to ask any questions.
Itās possible with Tracker to edit
A pattern while another pattern is playing
Right?
āyou cant select a slice in the audo editor by pressing the corresponding pad button, instead you have to use the function buttons numerous times to get to the sliceā
This is my biggest annoyance with the tracker as a six month plus user now! I love the Tracker so much but find chopping up samples such a bad experience because of this.
Have raised it with the lead developer on Discord several times and there are multiple tickets on GitHub so it has widespread support from users. The developer said heād pass it on but I never see it in the milestones for new releases.
Please comment on some of the following Github tickets #217 #335 #485 #782 #815 #823 if youād like it too. Latest ticket: Hold down Slice pad to adjust start position Ā· Issue #823 Ā· polyend/TrackerIssues Ā· GitHub
My other frustration is that you canāt manage project files into sub folders and thereās a limit on the number of projects you can store on your device to 100. Nearly a year on from release itās crazy this is still not addressed.
As I say I love the device but these sort of usability/functionality requests need fixing before more superfluous feature requests are worked on (such as Global ADSR in latest milestone for 1.5 1.5 Milestone Ā· GitHub)
Is there an advantage in adjusting the volume in the pattern versus adjusting it in the instrument parameters (referring to 12:20)?
I get that adjusting it in the track is necessary if you use different volume levels on the same sample/instrument, but in this case you donāt?
I do it in the pattern as an automation here, because itās the same instrument playing than above and it feel less loud because of the gate lenght reducing.
For me it make sens to set the volum in the instrument parameter to a average level first and then use the fx to accent / attenuate only the notes or events you want.
You could die from the current out of the wall wart, it happens to kids with their phones all the time. Please donāt use it in the bathtub. 8o
Ah, I missed that part. I thought you were only using it in the gate part. Thanks for clearing that up!
Thanks for your concern, but I was running it off a powerbank and a battery-powered speaker.
Furthermore, in Europe we have mandatory residual-current circuit breakers so that such a thing would be prevented.
Yes agreed. This is a big deal that would make a lot of difference if resolved
Thatās good, Iām glad! Just FYI, I just had the inspector at my home recently and was told the circuit breakers arenāt fool proof and require sporadic ādry firingā to ensure they will release fast enough under load. They are also only mandatory on new buildings.
The cases I had in mind were all in the greater Europe, the most recent was a 22yo in Switzerland this May.
Helo guys, I have an important thing to ask, I forgot my usual SD of the PT and today I am in an isolated place where I should play a gig. I luckily got a new SD and I wonder if it can be formatted for PT with just an Android tablet as nobody has a laptop around here
Just pop it in, usually itās already formatted correctly. Android should work too, you may end up with a few extra folders though.
Yeah it doesnāt feel like a massive thing, but given you have to chop samples (in my case usually drum breaks) again and again for each project as there appears to be no way of saving a sliced instrument yet, it is a real pain. Akaiās S series in the 90s had this and it just makes senseā¦
But yeah as i said, honestly love this thing - been so productive with the device - just these small tweaks need to be fixed to make it as good as it can be.
Couldnāt agree more
