where is that take my money meme? :exploding_head:

I was hesitating to buy a granular hardware sampler, I might wait for this one.

Also does wavetable, seems well thought out! I could easily see myself pairing this with a DN

I certainly like what I’m seeing here.

It seems the grid is being used for quick access of parameters. (48 secs in)
No step sequencing on it, in this video. Intriguing.

To be perfectly honest, this became (and still is) a unit which has really piqued my interest, not because it is a tracker, but because I really wanted the Elektron device to be more than it was.

I recently sold 2 perfectly adequate sequencers - a Deluge and a Pyramid. I did this for 2 reasons:

  1. I was trying to slim down and focus my workflow.
  2. I never really used the Octatrack to its full midi sequencing potential and wanted to give it the chance to shine.

Unfortunately that was a bit of a mistake, Forgive me, but the midi sequencing implementation on the Octa is attrocious. So. long story short, I really wanted that new Elektron device to be a next level midi sequencer/hub/effects unit.
And so it is, that my attention has turned to this Polyend device. If it can best the Octatrack in how it handles midi sequencing of connected hardware, I’m in. I really want to see what connections is has out back. All I have seen so far is USB and we know that it has 1 x stereo out. Please let there be 5 Pin Midi. 2 would be nice.

So cool. I want it just for the screen so people in a coffee shop will look at me like I’m from the Matrix.

Why not like eight encoders (like Maschine/Push/every midi keyboard ever) instead of that big wheel?

I just watched the teaser a second time and realized I don’t want this. I need this.

The latest video was
Wavetable and granular synthesis !
No touch screen , yeah (for me anyway) !
Performance options (using the pads)
Notes fx : i see random and other options .
Wow

a big wheel lets you dial in much finer values, just think about sample editing! i already love it

Without knowing much about trackers, I wasn’t that interested in this before (today). Now I’m upgrading to curious. If it can be a complete solution (trying to avoid saying all-in-one) for music creation, then I’m really interested. If the interface for entering notes/events/etc. is quick and intuitive, it could be a lot of fun. I’m really curious about what looks like granular synthesis capabilities. Though, it could just be a robust sample editing screen. Then again, the two aren’t too far apart. Can’t wait to see more in-depth examples of what it can do.

I dunno. The device looks a little thin. I don’t know if one will fit.

I could be wrong, but I think you might want to lower your hopes

May be a little off topic but…

There is another hardware tracker on the horizon! :star_struck:

I like how they’re going with a soft media embargo. Having lots of source of hype without revealing the product fully is really smart !

Aside from watching a few tutorials online, I know nothing about trackers and (likely unfairly) assumed the format to be kind of a hipster, revisionist thing. A few folks on here have shed some light on the utility the tracker format can offer, so I remain curious!
The sampling looks very interesting.
I do wish every hardware box had individual outs for every track it offers. I’ve yet to hear any ā€˜complete DAW in a box’ that can deliver as good a master as I can do with individual tracks in the DAW. I hate making music on a DAW, but love mixing on one. Maybe there’s individual outs via USB or something? That would be nice.
Still excited to see/hear what this machine is all about
