Polyend Tracker

that’s insane – What I’m curious about is how is the control achieved? Is it clunky?

Not at all. You have the directional arrows as a d-pad and then they mapped a and b to the left most black buttons (the pattern select and length buttons when in pattern) it feels the same as playing on a computer keyboard.

OMG. I’m going to try it. BTW, there are nes mods to use its pad with midi, so maybe in a future we could use the PT with one of them if the nes emulator accepts midi!

Not yet :frowning:
BUT… if you want to scratch the chip tune itch cajoNES works flawlessly…

I’ve spent the last two hours playing a tracker rom on a hardware tracker. 2021’s gonna be ok.

now you gotta run ntrq and have a tracker inside your tracker :joy:

Tried it lol, doesn’t work. It’s a pretty basic emulator for now. Maybe forever. Ntrq wants some space to pull and save files. I have a few more chip tune roms to try but for now I can only get cajoNes to work. If we can get gb support and some cross talk with the trackers audio we could theoretically rock lsdj from the tracker someday.

Wow, this is nice support from Polyend! Happy holidays indeed!

This is the real dream. Love the idea of sampling it!

Ikinari musician kinda works! One of my favorite obscure musical nes roms unfortunately freezes if you try to leave the piano, but the piano is fully functional and is so freaking fun and weird. Give it a try if you’re, like me, spending your day playing Nintendo games on your tracker.

I’m still crossed fingers for the SFXR (c-sfxr) hoop-a-joop being added in the sample editor like in the Caustic app

Hey mate I’m feeling you. Managed to get my hands on a Tracker in November and I’ve been cutting breaks on it since then. It’s a beautiful machine and you are going to have a great time. I’m a former Brit here, but I’m in Japan now. Stay safe and sane and have yourself a drillcore xmas!

Maybe because it’s fun, and it’s xmas.

Hey there,
Where did you get those games? They are not in the games folder following the download link.
The actually games included in that upgrade are a bit boring to me. Would be cool to have Supermario in here. So how did you do this?

They are .nes roms. Google will yield plenty of options to download the tiny .nes files of your favorite games. Toss said .nes files into the games folder on the tracker and then check to see if it works… (not all do)

Okay! I’ll gonna check that out. Thanks for the hint!

Yeah! It works.
Now I can play megaman!!
Fantastic.

Do you have any other .nes tracker or music rom suggestions. As far as I can tell the emulator only runs .nes files, and I haven’t found any other .nes trackers…

There only seem to be a few out there… none that run on whatever emulator polyend is using (aside from cajoNES which I’m really enjoying). I guess now the ball is in our court to make some .nes roms that are optimized for the tracker?
If you just want some cool tracker roms and such for computer use, try anything on the linked site. https://woolyss.com/chipmusic-chiptrackers.php
