a sequencer to end sequencers ?

Step could simply indicate that it’s useful to reach higher places, like a tall shelf or something?

More seriously, it probably is yet another sequencer, isn’t it?

Yeah, their contribution to the Torso T-1, Oxi One external sequencer sort of thing.
Maybe merging tracker sequencing, the algorithmic Play-style and some of the performance mode stuff they’ve explored?

oh wtf

Short and sweet lol

A bit of a cross between a BOSS-RC series and drum machine I think. I wish them good luck if the primary market is guitarists. Information overload for most of that crowd in my opinion. And I know plenty of guitarists who still don’t know what MIDI is. Looks like a really modern pedal though on I/O with tons of features and customization options, and I wholly recommend these types of pedals for solo tinkering or learning to play to a metronome/beat. But like I said, I think most guitarists prefer plug and play, set and done. It’s not enjoyable to have to bend over constantly for such pedals that are primarily foot based to have to adjust things with your fingers, and there is a lot of little itty bitty control here (as evidenced even in the video itself where it is propped on a table). You may not think about all the times you will have to take such a pedal off the floor and then back to the floor, but it becomes annoying in my experience,

I think a lot of buyers will also come to similar conclusions shortly after use because that is pretty much how it is on similar devices - and I would imagine expanded/advanced ones like this don’t exist on the market right now not because no one did it first, but because these manufacturers have data on what will and won’t be profitable as a product. Even when trying to add additional control via MIDI or additional footswitch buttons, these are very niche uses and not fun to set up for the required time investment. If you want to play patterns backwards rather than cycling forward, then I already see the need for an additional MIDI footswitch. This is more of a design quandary - at some point you have to define if something is to be primarily used by hands or feet. Hands only i.e. tabletop are going to take away from the guitar experience, feet only are going to be limited in the ability to utilize the full potential.

I think a more advanced user wanting more drum control is going to already be familiar with a laptop or is just going to go for a dedicated drum machine. My 2 cents/groszy.

A new direction for them, and it looks like it could be useful for those people who need such a thing. But not to me, really.

Definitely not for me but I’m sure someone will find it useful. Honestly it’s kind of nice to be utterly neutral about a piece of gear.

Quite interesting/unique and has some appeal as a guitarist that enjoys looping and the idea of building accompaniment around said loops

The switch on the left turns on Effects, so more than just reverb likely.

I see a price of $ 400 USD.

Lots of connectivity. The expression pedal input is nice if you can map that control.
ADDED : Expression pedal is assignable.

350 preset patterns built in. Lots of choices on kits.

Another look at the front. It says “Song”. That would make this nice for instrumental practice, if you can go beyond patterns.

I love the design.

BlockquoteWell, it says Drum Machine. But it’s a weird choice for a product photo to have it scream “Reverb”.

Whats wrong/weird with having reverb in a drum machine?
