It’s [arguably] their best machine yet, but it’s getting dated. Compact flash, no OB, effects starting to sound dated, not the same form factor as other MK2 devices, would love to see CV out (not likely though),… but still an amazing device!
Yes! DT MK2 with stereo sampling, pads, more knobs for hands on tweaking like the model line, more memory and processing power for more effects and filters. Oh, and a proper song mode of course. I would think that will be next up for a major release at namm 2021.
Fix OT once and for all !

I agree - OT. Coming up to three years since the mk2 was released, so an OB enabled mk3 with the updated effects of the newer boxes and better time/pitch stretching algos etc is about due given how much of a flagship the unit is for Elektron.
I don’t think the Digitakt needs a big update - gimme a simple EQ per track and that trig+yes p-lock preview suggestion and I’ll be happy. There’s plenty of affordable stuff for handling longer stereo samples IMO and that’s just too much of an overhaul of the device’s basic purpose to be realistic.
I know from personal experience that this tends to be true. Though I use heavy 3D CAD software which needs to download big CAD files via VPN, which takes a butt load of time.
Then there’s the workspace problem as well. I have two 27 inch monitors (plus laptop monitor) at work and I only use my laptop monitor when working from home. So just with that I’m more effective at work.
So I tend to agree… not sure how it is for software people though, but I’m guessing a lot of coders share the workspace problem.
