This!
In stock at Juno now in UK. Really really tempted. Currently mainly using a polyend tracker but would love to pair this with my vermona perfourmer. Is it worth it for £665 ?!
I say it’s worth it. It has its limitations but it also has a unique approach to a lot of things. The biggest strengths are its portability (battery powered) and the CV sides of things but it’s also a great overall sequencer especially for generating ideas.
It’s something I would never sell, it’s just so useful and versatile. So I recommend it highly.
Just got a new update today! I love mine.
update?
Yeah 3.1 firmware update!
ah i see, nothing spectacular, but nice
Thanks for comments all, I am pulling the trigger
Quick Q - have asked on the OXI Community forum but seems like more users here:
Division settings -
Say, for example I want to reverse the direction of the playback for a multi track or change its division - it would be good to have an option to “confirm settting” choice (e.g. by pressing the knob as you do for randomise) before this change is actually enacted.
This would be useful as i might want the direction to change at a certain moment, but at the moment it reverses as soon as i turn the knob.
Also with the time divisions - it is audible when you scroll through the ⅛ to 1/8t so the timing goes completely out of sync. I would like to e.g. go from 1/16 to ¼ at a certain moment and not hear all the options as i turn the knob, which takes it out of sync
Is this possible?
Enjoying this device so far - not the most intuitive piece of gear I’ve every used but already getting some nice sounds, and just recording them, not used the arranger or anything like stochastic or matriceal yet!!
Lastly - chord mode is great, love the way it helps you with progressions - one improvement would be if there was a way of storing a series chords you like to later be able to then perform with, kind of like the kordbot has 12 performance pads on the top right of it for saving your favourite chords.
I wholeheartedly agree with this, I love ow the KordBot suggests chords and allows for ‘imprinting’ of chords onto the quick select pads. And how easy it is to add notes on top, invert chords and apply randomised velocity.
You could pick and drop your chords to the pattern, disable playback and enable preview, this way you have access to the chords you fancy to play manually (not sure preview works with a disabled seq tho, if not it could be added for this use)
This is exactly how I use it.
Am I missing a way to set a sequencer to triplets?
I think the answer is ratchets but I haven’t tried myself.
It’d be nice if there were 2PRE and 2_PRE_ logic conditions, too, so you could build probabilistic riffs with rests in them.
I’ve hardly dug into it, but I wanted to add my voice to the chorus: the Oxi One is a ton of fun. Being able to run different types of sequencing simultaneously, and being able to effortlessly do diatonic transposition using the “HARMON” option, makes this thing a breeze to sequence on and get straight to the fun part. Can’t wait to explore it again!
I almost pulled the trigger on the oxi website.
Just some questions regarding using oxi with modular:
- i guess you can adjust attack and decay on the trig envelope?
- can oxi also do attack-hold-release?envelopes depending on the gate lenght.
- can you modulate the attack or decay/release with cv or mod lane?
- how much level it can output? In the specifications its -3v to +8v vs in the manual cv page it is -3v to +5v by hardware restrictions
So can the oxi also replace a simple function generator??
- Both adjustable
- Only AD
- Attack is modulable, decay relates to midi gate, also modulable
- -3V to 5V. Gates 10V.
For ADs, totally.
Hi all - new Oxi user and loving it. The Oxi forum seems very slow so thought I’d ask a couple of questions here:
-
Is there a way to quickly go from note to note to make alternate adjustments (the adjustments that show up when you SHIFT + hold a step: Glide, Trig, Retrig, Offst) so you don’t need to repeat the whole process over and over again for each step: SHIFT + hold a step, then let go of SHIFT to make the adjustment, then do that all again for the next step you want to adjust with the alternates? Basically a way to make it stay on the alternate page when you go from step to step.

Are LFO amounts only adjustable globally, or is there a way to change the amount to the different places you have an LFO assigned to?
