Just a question of conscience. At the time when Elektron makes a new top of the range sampler. How many of you would sell the OT then?
Yes ! I heard it many times and on your vids. I tried it one minute in a music store but didn’t remember exactly if it was DT or DN. Anyway I think I will go for a DT maybe soon to complete my Ot A4 MD collection.
I remember it had a good punch when I tried it…

But surely you understand that plenty of other customers like the fx/sound and your personal feelings could not be anticipated by Elektron, therefore they did not betray you, you just don’t like the product, in which case either return it, sell it, or accept it and learn to get the best from it.
Complaining baselessly is not going to help you, or hurt Elektron.

Almost impossible question to answer . But probably i’d say get both. (Seriously , this question makes no sense.)
Again that’s a bit of a nonsense argument full of variables because we don’t know what a new top of the range sampler would do in addition to OT

I have two, I’d definitely keep one, but it depends what the new one did, on paper the DT is “better” (48khz 16bit) than OT (44,1khz 16/24bit) but I did not keep the DT because I prefer the OT personally.
Edit: DT is 48/16 not 48/24 as I initially posted, I corrected it to avoid confusion.

You’re making objective claims about a subjective subject. In this sentence you literally say “the effects in the Octatrack are objectively bad because they don’t fit my personal, subjective taste.”
It’s completely self-contradictory.
That’s why you’re getting so much pushback from everyone.
EDIT: assuming you aren’t trolling, but if you’re trolling you’re responding to much - proper trolling is about maximum response from minimum input.

I don’t know, I’ve never been interested by this device. But one thing I know is I would try it first and see if it fits my taste.

No, but it helps if you don’t explicitly say that it’s objective every single time, which you have been. People will respond a lot better if you don’t frame it as “this thing you like is objectively terrible because I don’t like it.”
