With Track Relations, is using the TUNE control in the SYN page the only way to build chords? I was hoping that the NOTE in the TRIG page would function as an offset, but it looks like child tracks just receive the same note from the parent track irrespective of the NOTE setting.

Honestly, it’s my favorite Elektron box and now it’s even more favorite-er.

Super cool update. Thank you Elektron. I realised when I went to update that I hadn’t even installed 1.30 so double the fun! Having to lock in 64 samples is kinda stressful but kinda fun, think I’ll start small with a few essentials like hi hats.

How would you do polyphony? Offset the tuning for each tracks oscillators?
That’s the only way I can think to do it.

Yes. Especially for drone style stuff played live outside the sequencer.
It’s a shame there’s no better way to do polyphony.

RK002 is also an option (with caveats/sacrifices). For purely on device functions, I think track layering is better than nothing.

I have the same issue 
I tried different ways but still getting the same error.
And it’s not because of the number of samples.
I haven’t updated yet.
Does the new firmware include some samples for the twin shot machine??

Finally got time after sleeping and working for a few hours to dig into this properly. Wow, the QoL features are extensive and very nice. I haven’t seen everything yet and won’t have a chance to play with it until the wee hours of the morning, but I’m so very excited by Twinshot and especially, filter panning! What an unexpected feature, I don’t remember anyone speculating on that one. I do a lot of droning on Syntakt so this is going to get used immediately and heavily.
As always, Elektron users are eating well long after the device is released, and the team at Elektron deserves a lot of thanks for this. Even heavily implied a 1.50 is going to come some time (not too soon!) in the future, too.
SUPER excited about this aspect of track layering. It’s been a thorn in my side on many patterns for using FX track env. Seemingly simple but I’m already having some interesting thoughts about track layers…
EDIT: And even forgot about selecting tracks for control-all. Being able to control-all without screwing up kicks or certain tones will make this much more performable. I’m thrilled

Manual:
SMP1 (Sample 1) selects a sample for slot 1. Negative parameter value selects the same sample slot
but plays the sample in reverse. The snap values for this parameter switches between playing forward
and in reverse of the same sample.
I’m not often right, but when I am, I’m insufferably happy about it

I haven’t installed yet, but did anyone check if this update changes how you might use the FX section as a preset bank/FX Scenes?

lol i’m excited for the new firmware but understand this sentiment as well
i think the extra week built up a lot of hype for the update, and it fell a little below people’s wild expectations more than they are currently willing to admit
i personally was hoping for at least a complete trig condition overhaul to keep it in line with digi 2s, but whatever, grateful for what we have!

Watching someone do DJ-style layering, filtering and crossfading using the Amen Break and a vocal sample on a single track of the Syntakt would NOT have been on my bingo card just a few short days ago.

ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION : I would like to buy a soudpack optimized for this new OS, which means Less than 64 samples, possble samplechains to save memory, wisely selected hits, not loops, AND possible acekicking wavetables ? I pcan pay real money if its not browsing 2000 samples, just drag and drop : DOES IT EXIST ? If yes any reco ? thx a mill guys, luv u
