Ok, if this is some sort of wireless networking, first, that’s a horrible place to put it, but that’s besides the point if it’s only needed for close proximity…which leads to…
Second, if they can add wireless device transport control across new devices, that would be simply amazing. I hate wires.
I keep saying, I reckon Verk is going to be a closely interwoven pair/set of modules. Much more of a system than they’ve created so far. Its the 3 pair out, one pair in and the wireless that makes me think it.
I reckon the update will be on Monday now. Although tomorrow would be nice for a weekend of multisampling. I’ve not tried it once yet, just waiting that feature out and enjoying what works.
Apparently, Elektron will release the promised October update at the last minute. Hopefully, this is because they want to fix as many bugs as possible, rather than being due to unexpected technical difficulties related to the new platform core.
This is what they wrote (first post in this thread):
I agree that they’d rather spend a few extra days if that makes a difference. If it doesn’t come in October, I’d appreciate a little update on what’s going on from them. Especially a few words about audio latency, which they haven’t spoken about yet. Can we expect them to fix this at some point or is this a Linux problem that will likely persist?
If this thread proves anything, it’s that whatever Elektron do, people are going to complain.
People complained that Elektron aren’t transparent enough, so they have a go at being more transparent and all it’s done is give people something else to complain/speculate/gossip about.
I had this last night after a bunch of beers and playing guitar! It took a few seconds round trip from wanting to play a chord, playing the chord, hearing the chord! It was so bad I was put to bed!
