I have reported this bug to TE and got a reply that they forwarded it to the dev team. Really hope it’s fixed in 1.1.0.
I think they’re just doing the same thing. But yes, I also prefer the punch in FX for single tracks. It’s not as “in your face” as the global ones.
If I remember right you can specify which tracks are going to have the global punch in effects applied to them too, that helps with some of the chaos.
So I just spent over 100 hours working on multiples samples and when I turned on my machine this morning everything was gone. Literally just disappeared. Unbelievable.
wow this sounds terrible, i’m sorry to hear it.
Do you have any ideas how this could have happened?
are all your projects gone too, or just the multisamples?
Everything is gone including projects, samples, presets. It’s like the whole machine was wiped clear. Now when I load up one of my presets packs nothing even shows up. It’s hard to believe they haven’t put out an update yet. Oh well. Back to square one.
Holy crap this is a nightmare. Is it all gone if you connect it via MTP?
Yes. I recommend backing everything up. I’m gong to have to send this back cause now it’s not reading any of my files at all.
Same shitty bug was on the OP-1 Field when launched ;(
Oh well. Back to the grind. Live and learn. Gonna always back stuff up. I should know this anyways.
Bluetooth MIDI is not working for me at all, MacBook and iPhone don’t see anything when I turn on Bluetooth pairing on the OP-XY.
Also having trouble with USB MIDI. I can send MIDI to Ableton over USB on my laptop, but not on my iPhone. I’ve tried connecting to my iPhone with a USB-C to lightning cable and with the official lightning Camera Connection Kit, but I’m not able to send MIDI or audio in either direction.
Just curious but is the 9 pattern limit per track like a memory limitation? They really can’t add more patterns if they wanted?
Sorry to hear this! I had similar problems with my opz years ago
Thanks to your post, I have just set up an automated backup task that copies the XY’s drive to a folder every time I mount it on my Mac.
At least something good came out of this… ha!
You may have already sent it back but TE support just got back to me saying it’s a calibration issue that they will give use the ability to configure the pitch bend in a few days, with an update. My electronics expert friend agrees this could be the case.
Literally planning to send it back today, i’ve held on to it as long as possible. If TE wanted to send that over so I could test that out that would be awesome but I don’t have access to it and when you initiate a return you can’t always say ‘ok now i’d like to hang onto it for the next month’ haha
I got away with it so far b/c of the holiday.
maybe it’ll fix it, maybe it won’t.
I’ve heard other reports of it being a hardware issue that calibration wasn’t fixing so
Edit: since B&H extended their return window to January 31st, I asked for an extension on the return to ride out the update and see if it works, which they said is no problem.
So, i’m going to wait to see if the update fixes the issue…
This doesn’t help my general anxiety with TE devices. I am going to back up my op-z like now. But I’m afraid of even doing that, to be honest, just in case it goes crazy. I am looking at it sideways now in case it moves on its own…
Another reason to put more effort into finishing tracks and printing them to CD or something. Everything looks so volatile these days.
Record to tape!
Has anyone found a way to copy a track from one to another in a pattern, at least the sequence data? I know how to copy presets, but can’t figure this part out and it’s making re-arranging the tracks in a pattern impossible.
Today, I experienced my first glitch. The drum kit sample screen froze in place after I switched to another track during playback while trying to adjust the length of the new track. It was frustrating because I lost a lot of sequence data when I turned the device off and on again.
