It seems all right for now!
if you are using your phone it doesn’t show up unless you turn to wide screen
Thank you!!!
Downloaded and installed.
As owner of most of recent Elektron devices, and M8… I have to say that right now the OP-XY is the most interesting and inspiring device I own.
One more thing: the snaps pack seems to only have one preset that seems not to work… any idea?
Snaps was a very small file size so not sure what’s in it- I didn’t install it as my XY said it was full after I put DC on- may be the first time I have to delete some stuff…Something new to learn!
I found this useful for sound packs.

Cheers- I didn’t have a problem putting DC on, I just don’t have enough space for both- need to delete some stuff…big pre-set packs can make the 8 Gig storage for samples and projects seem a bit limited, but that said, this i the first time I will have to delete stuff to make room…
EDIT- Just checked- I have loads of room left, so I have no idea why ‘snaps’ didn’t go on, but DC works just fine…I just tried again and now it will go on, maybe you cant do 2 at a time (I had tried to drag them both across at the same time before). As other have said, I just see one pre-set for snaps (Manifest) and no projects.
Mine also showed “no enough storage” message, but both packs could be installed if I tried to install them one by one.
We need to eject OP-XY from PC after copying the 1st pack, then OP-XY will start installing that pack.
After that, we shut off OP-XY, reboot it, and connect it to PC again, then we can copy the other one safely.
Cheers- just did that- all good!
Snaps adds some random samples to the sample browser under the folder “snaps”. The manifest preset is of no use.
Thanks that’s very helpful
That new 80s pack - man its sooooo GOOD!!! GOAT for me - so much attention to detail, effort and just sounds amazing…Thank you TE and thanks Douglas Carr!
That’s strange because DC is supposed to populate the system side of the device and not the user library. So it shouldn’t be full
It wasn’t, it just said it was!
The issue was trying to drop both new packs at once, you have to do them one at a time (see above) with a reboot in between I think (that worked for me)
Lots of cool sounds in the DC soundpack, but the percussion kits are absolutely top notch. The hand drum kits with bongos and congas are so much fun to play and probably the best sounding kits I’ve ever heard in that category.
very cool hip hop samples and weird stuff!
The dc sound pack is fantastic, but the drum kits seem to have intentionally unconventional layouts, which I’m not a big fan of.
Yes, the producer explains the rationale in the video. I don’t fully understand to be honest ![]()
But I am fine with his choice. It is a free upgrade and it sounds very good
Very interesting to know the background of this preset library and how the samples were recorded. Also, it’s a great idea to leave a bit of space before the onset of the sounds so it’s easy to dial in the funk for drum hits.
The acoustic drum kits also sound wonderful! The layout doesn’t bother me as much, as I’m making my own presets to have all my favorite snares, kicks, etc in their own dedicated preset to make best use of the individual outs via USB.
I’ve said before that the OP-XY was my favorite drum machine, and TE managed to make it an even better drum machine twice within a single week, lol. Good times.
The kit layouts make perfect sense…Not sure why i persevered with kicks and snares being a couple of centimeteres apart - having them on polar opposites of the keyboard with hats etc in the middle is way more playable
Are you using separate tracks for different types of drum?
