Why can’t I update my device? I mount it as a hd, drag the file over. It makes some windows sound, but when I eject it does not update.

Yeah, the drum synth sounds really good too.
ETA: Especially when you link the track to a track with sampled drums.

Here’s something I was cooking during beta. A little taste of Drumline and DYNAMIC filter on bass.
We had a lot of back and forth on this release so hopefully we found all of the bugs… but it feels like there’s always one or two that slips through the net.

I’ve been playing with the USB routing. There are several presets: tracks, buses (main, tape, aux, fx1 and 2), plus a bunch of user presets.
A few things that surprised me: AUX is now sendable over USB, which means you can use an iPad/iPhone as an external send effect. Also cool is that it looks like you can route the XY’s line in and mic simultaneously through the USB.

Yeah, somehow it just totally leveled up for me. The per-track distortion filter and the drumline are amazing. I also like the flexibility of the 8-out USB.
The only thing is that it won’t be that great for tracking out a song to a DAW, as the sends are mono (if you use all 8). That means tracking twice, or three times if you also want to capture the fx.
Still, I probably won’t do that. I’ll probably still be using it with the M8 and capturing loops to the M8 for arrangement etc.

Nice! I was using TX6 for that routing with my iphone. I just installed the firmware but Idk where are the new stuff a part of the drumline)
USB audio stuff is in the COM settings, and the new Dynamic filter is in the list with the other filters (Shift+3)

Excited for the multi channel, hopefully now I can use my iPhone like op1 tape and record overdubs live in GarageBand without needing an interface

Yeah, it’s not ideal, but at the same time, if I am tracking to DAW I will be using other plugins for effects anyways.
What bothers me more is that I have to set the OP-XY as the sound card, then change back to the Apollo Twin when mixing etc. But I think I will mostly just capture one loop of each scene and then duplicate them in Ableton anyways, so it’s not a big deal. Still, the Overbridge VST is so much nicer.

If you’re on a Mac you could use Rogue Amoeba’s Loopback to aggregate both audio interfaces. Or just set the XY as input, and the Apollo for output.
