Weird. Mine was shipped Fedex from TE. The same for my last order.
I haven’t been able to figure out how to copy and paste notes, maybe it doesn’t exist? It did on the OP-Z and iirc it was a long hold on a note to copy, then click elsewhere to paste.
As for shifting notes, do you mean nudging them left/right? Or shifting them entire steps left/right?
Because nudge left/right exists and it works well, I haven’t tried but I assume you could nudge a note across the whole sequencer if you wanted to.
Sorry, I mean shift all notes in a pattern left or right
You have to do it one note at a time?
Hm that’s interesting! I know what you mean from the pattern sequencer on op-1. That said, I’ve never really used it. Bummer that it’s a dealbreaker for you
“Out for delivery” ya’ll!
I mean elektron can do it. I think you hold function and then press left and right to move all the notes. Opz can do it too. Not sure why opxy can’t.
I hope TE gets that updated manual out today
Pitchbend issues in the new users?
Had to return mine because of that
Yes hopefully this will be one of the first updates we seen.
Yeah mine is wonky but I don’t feel like sending it back. It should be mandatory with TE products that if a broken unit gets sent out we get to keep it until the other one arrives. Really, this is the only fair way to go about the quality control of TE. Why should the consumer have to wait two weeks for a new unit after spending big bucks. I’m going to contact B&H and see if they will do this solid for me. .
B&H only offered me the option to buy another and then wait for the return on this one.
Otherwise they just ship after they process the return. To their credit they said they overnight the new unit.
But I basically said I don’t really want to lock up $5k on this for any amount of time lol
It’s possible to rename projects on your Mac/PC in MTP mode. I just tried that.
Yeah I hear ya. I can understand it’s not the shops fault. TE should automatically incorporate this into their policy.
I need some user help here.
Is it just me, or is it really strange that factory presets have different tuning scales and root notes?
It took me a while to figure out why things seemed… out of tune? And I think this is why.
I think different tunings per preset is cool, but man it’s a bit of a ‘thing to remember’ to change when swapping around sounds.
I would probably not opt to save any of my presets with specific tunings unless it was literally a preset built only for a specific track/use case.
So, is it just me? Am I doing something wrong? Or does one have to double check the root and tuning of each preset before laying it down?
Additional info:
Im having wild tuning issues it’s so weird.
Presets totally variable, I’ve paused using Rephazer and onboard samples so that I can try to isolate the issue with just onboard synths
I’m changing all tunings to Equal + C root
Turning off LFO’s
Turned off the brain because that was totally wonky and causing all kinds of issues
Playing a C for one bar on Prism, with all settings down (no detune or stereo, ratio 1:1, and shape 00)
Then playing a C from the organ engine with all settings down and it’s literally a completely different note, there is a ton of dissonance
Oh guess what… it’s my faulty pitch bend.
It’s stuck/defaulting to a setting less than 0
Wow that was a nightmare for a second, but turning off pitch bend range immediately fixed the issue and brought everything in tune.
