I have a feeling that most of the wobbly XYs are actually non-flat tables
Speaking of screen protection- Are you guys using anything to protect the screen during use? I don’t think I’ve scratched mine yet, but I’d imagine it’s pretty easy to do.
… and it’s a proof that the planet actually is not flat!
Has anyone bought this already?

No, though I’ve thought about it. Hard to cut the nice glass ones yourself at home though, so sorta stuck waiting for a company to make them I guess.
Saw someone on reddit posted a picture of it, they said it was fine. Cutouts for the PB and I/O on the side are a nice improvement.
Mine definitely did wobble because my replacement does not. I believe it was because of the rubber legs.
Really? The original OP-1 decksaver has no cutouts for the i/o connectors?
Upon closer inspection, it looks like there is a plastic screen film, it was just stuck to the black inner casing of the packaging. Lemme see if it fits and get back atcha.
That film is supposed to be stuck to the bottom of the insert (with cables, manual, etc.) in your black case. It supposedly prevents the black case material from damaging the screen.
Gotcha! Thank you for the clarification.
That’s also my impression. Both my OP1 Field and OP-XY wobble on all kinds of surfaces I assumed were flat but, upon closer inspection, turned out not to be. I just never noticed it before, since most devices I carry around and used in those places (e.g. a Mac) seem to be somewhat flexible and don’t seem to wobble pretty much anywhere. The OP-1 Field and XY, however, are so rigid any super minor deviation is already noticeable
.
After unboxing, I tried the XY on several (supposedly flat) surfaces. The XY wobbled on one surface, but not on the others.
Normally, wobbling is not a problem for me, I just bend the device diagonally over the edge of a table and that’s it. With a solid housing like the XY has, this is difficult. That’s why I tested it so thoroughly.
I did, and unfortunately I have to say I am not 100% happy with it. The construction is sturdy and it covers the device much more than the old OP-1 decksaver, but mine does not fit perfectly and has a slight gap, which leads to horizontal movement. I contacted Decksaver and they told me this is within normal manufacturing standards…
Needless to say I’m considering sending it back now.
Did these ever get released? They’re amazing!
No, im actually planning to very soon.
Confused me as well when I first got mine- I was trying to work out what they were supposed to fit on the XY!
My case arrived today. The XY fits in perfectly, but I think it’s overpriced. But okay, so is the XY ![]()
Now I’ll wait until the Decksaver is available in Germany.
I bought myself on Aliexpress, it’s the one for Op-1. Fits well, sometimes the power switch gets turned on inside it. But it looks exactly like this.
Normally I always look for cheap cases on Amazon first. So far I’ve always managed to do that, e. g. for my Seqtrak or for the Move. But I couldn’t find anything suitable for the XY. The closest I’ve found are the cases for 60% computer keyboards, but they’re about 2 cm too big on all sides.
