The power switch however feels very flimsy. I can move it quite a bit before feeling any resistance. Hope that’s not becoming a problem.
my power switch doesn’t have any play in it at all.
Been noodling with the device a couple of hours, man it’s deep and a huge step up from the Z!
I just wish there was a “random name creator” as the Poleynds and the Elektrons have for the projects on the XY, it’s tedious to have to use the knobs for every character you want to put in, that would be a QoL-feature for sure!
Does it still have the power down timer like the Field? That’s a nifty feature.
Do you have another class-compliant USB audio interface you could try?I wonder if this is TX-6-only, or works with other interfaces.
+1👆
Yes it does. An option in config.
I have a Motu M4. I can try later today.
That’s super dope!
Dang, thats a great find, even i did´nt know about that.
But there is no visual representation on either devices that it is listening to a specific channel, right?
I’m going to be grabbing an XY soon - I’ve seen enough to know I’m sold ! - but a quick Q for you cats who’ve got one ; if I route an external device ( synth, my modular etc ) into the Line In jack, can I spin FX ( delay, reverb et al ) from the XY onto this ?
I can’t quite tell from the manual -
“rotate the white encoder to adjust the mix into the main output. this will take whatever tracks you route through the external audio track and feed them into the main mix.”
I’m hoping the main mix is where you add your FX via the two sends, as then obviously this will work, but if someone could confirm that would be really helpful, ta
There’s a searchable version available for download in the hate thread. I did OCR on my own version to make it searchable, but 48MB is too big to attach here.
theres a link at the beginning of this post as well. a couple of comments down
Do you have to do much compression or EQ ing to make the drums sit well in the mix, Is this done with the xy or an external hardware? Cheers.
Never understand why people can hate synths without own it. I hate a lot of devices, but I proved/owned them, and at least I have real reasons for it.
Ok my XY switches off when I touch the power switch slightly. Guess I have to return it.
Oh no. Thats another.
Correct. No visual. I found this when playing the sequencer in the TX-6. I could only see/hear one track on the sampler. When I turned the second encoder it moved between the six tracks. That’s when I plugged the OP-1F into each of the line in’s on the TX-6 to verify it worked for the line in’s too.
Nice if it worked the other way round. Six separate tracks from XY to TX-6.
