OP-1 field

I have requested this exact feature through TE support! Please submit a feature request too, it increases the chances of it getting implemented.

Thanks a lot, are you going to update your other packs too? or were the ā€˜issues’ only with the broadcast pack?

nevermind, you answer it here already

Thanks for doing this! Apologies for the silly question, but when I click the link it’s asking me to purchase it again. How do I go about simply downloading the updated file?

If available, try and find your original purchase email.
You may also, depending on your browser, find a Ā« see content tab Ā» somewhere on gumroad.
One of these two options shall do the trick
(Same question was asked on the OP Forum)

Great question. I was confused too.

If you go to the main gumroad site there should be a login button somewhere. Use that tp log in with the same account/password, and then go to my account or whatever it is and there’s an item for purchases over towards the bottom of the list on the left.

It took me a ridiculous amount of time to figure it out myself. @rephazer almost ended up with a second purchase from me. But then again, his presets are that good!

I had the same. I obviously hadn’t confirmed my email address with gumroad. Once I did that, all my packs turned up in my library

I’m finding I hardly use my OP-1 Field, other than as a midi controller for Drambo and Koala on my iPad. The lack of a sequencer is the problem, I think, and the synth engines, which I can never seem to get a good sound from.

The sampler is incredible, but I prefer Koala.

I’m currently learning the piano (I’m a guitarist first), and my assumption is that I will get more out of the OP-1 as I get better at keys.

But has anyone else loved the OP-1 F, but also found that it’s not really for them, and had to let it go?

Yeah sorry guys, I’ve send out a second email with the update attached, but that one didn’t reached most of the supporters it seems.

However you can download the update using the original download link received when you first bought the sound pack.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Multiple times with the OP1. Maybe 3 times in total :joy:

I too hardly use the OP1F but I’m still firmly in the ā€œlove to have it aroundā€ camp. I love it aesthetically. I’m coming off a music lull so hoping over the coming weeks I pick things back up, firstly with Push 3 and then maybe into other bits and bobs.

I would say im on the same page with this.

LOVE the form factor, possibilities, etc. But don’t really use it or feel that I have to force myself to use it. I think it looks GREAT on camera (YouTube, insta, etc). Out of all their devices, I have found the OPZ to be more immediate and inspiring before jumping into the real synths/DAW/instruments for music making.

But, thats just me.

Recently got the TP-7 and honestly have no idea what I would even use it for. Again, looks AMAZING and the spinning wheel is great, but… what am I using it for?

TX-6, super useful. Tiny portable mixer and DAW interface is pure gold IMO.

I use my OP-1 even more now, when I’m exploring a daw workflow with Luna, and the TP-7 is equally relevant in that case. The TX-6 is in trouble, though. For now, that is.

Great update @rephazer there’s some detail that’s moving to the foreground now that you’ve pimped these patches even more. This is my favourite of your packs and I’m happy it got some love.

Having trouble with importing files into Ableton after copying them from the OP1F. All distorted or just won’t play?! What am I doing wrong?

Wrong format, I think. Or rather, the wrong kind of AIF. They’re 32-bit float, or some other incompatible type (I’m going from memory here), so you have to convert them.

Apparently Logic Pro opens them just fine.

Thank you! Had to convert them in audacity to 24bit and then they worked?! Wtf? That’s an annoying extra step I just wouldn’t have thought I’d have to do. Not sure if that’s the OP1 or Ableton, but find it odd. I’ll look for an automation tool I guess. Thanks for the help

Edit - looks like it’s Ableton and 32 bit float

If computers or iPads inspire you to make music with it will always be better compared to anything hardware in my opinion.

Sound quality of software is so good these days I wish these things would inspire me.

For me the OP-1 is about focus and being one with the machine instead of making music and possibly browsing Elekronauts at the same while you are at it.

But, you seem to be digging the iPad a lot so using the OP-1 Field only as MIDI controller for the iPad seems a bit silly to me. I suppose there are cheaper/better options for a velocity sensitive little keyboard and have some spare cash for some great apps

I’m trying to merge the patches like it says in the instructions for the patch update, but it won’t let me merge. Can I just replace the files under the rephazerfb?

TIL after an hour of tinkering and then searching the internet, that there’s a 500 patch limit on the device. I had bought some of Cuckoo’s new sample packs and had issues trying to load them. Eventually figured out why. I’m hoping one day TE can increase the patch limit with a firmware update.

Yes, you can overwrite the already existing patches in this case. Cheers!
