I intend to get back on this now with the mk II. Will let you know where I end up.
This actually seems to be the best method. Setting up a scene with XVOL MIn and env vol to max I get a curve that is steep enough for chirps. But still cannot pull of tight crabs. Even adding a comp to fx slot one and upping the lev doesnāt tighten things further.
But this is the best one yet. Now if I could figure out a way to make ācuts on both sidesā like this, thisād be awesome and workable for anything xcept crabsā¦

i know this thread is ancient, but hereās a trick i havenāt seen anybody mention and it allows for a super tight kill on the cf, perfect for crab techniques and the sort
- place a delay on fx2, turn LOCK on and PASS off in fx setup
- set FB, TIME, BASE, WDTH all to minimum, set SEND to 127
- lock SEND to 0 on any scene you want to mute the track
- use a neighbor track for regular usage of delay/reverb

This use of stacking the LFOs is such a wonderful and elegant solution I never would have thought of myself if I spent days thinking about it. It works brilliantly and means I can have both scenes A and B going at full volume with the cross fader in the middle, which is essential for my set-up. Thank you so much. And wow! Iām blown away by that problem solving.
