little Request: saving Sample-Slot List-Assignments, to use them like playlists and be able to inject them into projects (maybe via Library Module).

There is a finite limit of 264 Sample Slots on the Octatrack. There are clever ways to work with/around those; but you/I can’t add more Sample Slots without coding a new OS.

Exactly what the Manager module does amongst other things.

Just my 2Ā¢ but if OE is becoming a life-consuming zero cash activity why don’t you
just release it as FLOSS?

You may not need any extra money for your family/household, but that’s an odd thing to impose on someone else.

Rusty mentions repeatedly in these threads that he’s working on it in between seeking a new gig, and explicitly discusses monetization that would help justify the time and creativity expended here.

If you scroll up to the survey responses, you’ll see that it’s not anywhere close to zero, it’s just likely not anywhere approaching a FTE gig either. I’d love for him to get that gig and be able to finish as a hobby within patience of cat + partner, but its certainly okay to ask for a token of respect back for all his effort.

Could you please quote the exact sentence where that’s a clear evidence of me imposing something on someone?
And please keep yourself from assuming something about my lifestyle and income,
'cause I’m sure I struggle enough to keep everything ok in my life.

in fact if you read my survey instead of trolling and provoking,
you should know I’m one of those people who purchased OctaEdit.

Also, I don’t find anything disrespectful in releasing something as FLOSS if that means free up your time and mind and maybe open up to other working possibilities and new projects.

Cheers

You called it a ā€œzero cash activityā€, but obviously it’s worth paying for.

I love FOSS and appreciate the time someone can take to share their gift with others.

Telling someone that they would be happier if they demonetized and failed to release a successful product they’ve been looking to update in several forms after years of hard work, that’s not quite helpful.

When it’s ready, when he’s ready it’ll be great!

Just my dark sense of humour showing.
