Hmm, interesting… maybe. That does seem like a bass station 2 sized box. I wonder what an “AFX Station” is. Only slightly inspired by this thread, I am listening to Drukqs right now, getting pumped up to jam with the Polyend Tracker later.

Definitely the same footprint of a Bass Station 2. I wonder if this is just some special edition of it, or if it will be an incremental successor.

Looks like maybe they’ve just labeled the secondary key functions. I’m still holding out hope for additional features/knobs.
The box art is cool but do I really need an Aphex BSII if the hardware stays the same? Time will tell.

Seems to me like the whole industry is waiting with new releases until the pandemic is over and just change the faceplates of existing gear (to black to sympathize with BLM)? Anyway - I buy only black synths so they have a new customer!

I remember seeing those in GAK (music shop) and thinking how amazing they looked. It was one of the 1st soft synths I ever tried too.
I saw an A Station just yesterday on ebay. I doubt they’re bringing out a 19" fx rack unit for Aphex Twin fans in 2020, we’ll see though.

I think this AFX Station is gonna be just like the WXAXRXP BS2, but an AFX BS2, and main difference is all black keys.
If there’s a difference I’m hoping for, it’s more sequence memories. 4 ain’t enough.

Def just pullin a korg and re-skinning. Still I don’t own a bass station 2 rn soooo. 
This would be tempting as I love the all black look, but I got a BSII brand new from Amazon last fall for $270, so I’m not gonna be too chuffed!

Hopefully a BS2 update to beef up the oscillators! Cynicism aside, the BS2 has a very high bang for buck ratio as is.
Is this possible with DCO´s`?
I don’t have the knowledge to answer, but my guess is no. But I’d like to be wrong.
Not so sure, Elektron was able to tweak the A4 sound with the first OS update drastically. Maybe there is something Novation could do on the BS2?
