I can add collaborators to the private GitHub project, if anyone is in a position to help out.
Im afraid my C is rusty but if you need help with testing let me know. Keep up the great work.
I applaud this effort. If there is any need for some UI Design as some stage - let me know. I would like to support this where I can.

The 2011 Mac Mini I run headless basically just for the G2 editor is shaking in its boots. Keep up the great work!
If there’s any graphic design related work that needs to be done, I’m happy to help where I can.
I’m keeping it simple for now. No fancy graphics.
If I get it working, the graphics can be fancied-up.
What does concern me though, is the work involved on 200-ish modules!
I’m not sure I can finish that on my own.
Maybe have a look at ‘ian-s’ patchviewer, see: electro-music.com :: View topic - G2 patch viewer
For every module there is code to describe it graphically. It’s based on creating svg’s on the fly. It is a webbased tool in JavaScript.
Here you can download the source code: electro-music.com :: View topic - g2ools-1.5 nm2g2 and dx2g2 converters
It mght help, but I’d still need to do the work in ‘C’ either way. I need to render the modules and modify them.
Yes that makes sense. I thought it could be helpfull as inspiration.
Another minor update. Been playing with parameters on modules, concentrating on just 1 filter module for now. Vid too big to load here, but I’ve posted on Facebook if anyone’s on this group?
Not on FB, but maybe good to share it also on the Nord Modular forum on electro-music.com :: View Forum - Clavia Nord Modular
I’ve published my work so far here:
Build and use at your own risk! I’ll try and stop the updates on here now and transfer most of my discussion over to other groups. You can keep an eye on updates to the repo though!
To which groups you transfer the discussion? I’d like to follow if i’m on one of them.
At the minute, mostly on this Facebook page (link below). I’ve been getting next to no engagement/acknowledgement on electro-music.com
Yes electro-music is very quiet. Not on FB so i’ll follow you on GitHub.
I have run nord g2 editor with g2 engine successfully on apple silicon mac with windows virtual machines using UTM. With some tweaking I can even make it work with Windows XP. But for most people I recommend Windows 7 because the USB sharing and file sharing works out of box
That’s good news. I’m gonna try this.
Care to share more details?
Personally, I didn’t know about UTM existence.
Thanks!
Just like how you would create windows virtual machines using parallels desktop or vmware on intel mac, you can install old version of windows on apple silicon macs using utm. When you run the windows vm in UTM, you can plug g2 to the mac using USB cable, then share the g2 to the windows vm in UTM. If you have used parallels desktop or vmware before then it would be a very similar process.
Thank you!
