I dunno. Looks like the inverse of a Nord. Don’t think that red hurt them too much.
I always thought a cyan blue with be nice.
Just seen the keyboard version. The desktop looks much nicer imo though I think it is important to get a keyboard out there.
Started a new thread for DELIA.
Isn’t it the same thing with keys?
What’s that green thing in the background?
That’s the GREEN NINA. Didn’t they mention that.
It’s for people who hate red.
Maybe something else for SB.
The GREENA ?
Like farting? or…
Motorised knobs have that analog sound ya know…
exactly
Now you are getting into Motor Synth territory, there is already a thread for that
Well, it has to be the name of a former Australian muse, something like Grilka (with a Klingon touch), Gromie or Gretchen.
It was interesting to hear at Superbooth that they’ve sold out their first batch of NINA and are now on to their 2nd one. It’s been very successful at retailers despite its price.
They’ve managed to divide the cost of the knobs by 2 for the Delia ($5 vs $10), which helped to lower the overall cost of the new device.
Also, we have yet to see the original model that they wanted to release and which was delayed by the pandemic and there is one more surprise coming this year
Did you get any sense about any possible timeline for the original model? I’m asking because I’m eyeing to buy the Nina, but I guess it might be at least a year or even much longer.
Looking forward to the surprise later this year. Firmware update with a substantial new feature?
H1 next year, but will depend on COVID24 and it’s not and iteration of a current model, so it’s not difficult to guess what’s missing in their portfolio
.
The surprise is hardware, but not a synth.
Thou speakest in riddles, dear oracle.
And what would be missing in their portfolio? FM? Please enlighten me!
Just played it for around 45 minutes and left really impressed. It felt a bit like having an A4 with more hands on control but all the useful display information of an Elektron when needed. And with a base sound that’s just a lot fatter than A4 but can also be tamed. Or like a more powerful Minilogue XD.
One thing I didn’t like was navigating the effects menu and that there’s just one overall effects level knob and you need to enter sub menus to change the levels of individual effects. Minilogue XD handles this a lot better.
It has me thinking about selling most stuff besides my ST because Nina seems to cover all of my melodic needs and makes multitimbral stuff and sound design actually useful due to the motorized knobs. It also has a lot of stuff that I found is important to me, like the patch morph. What are people here with experience thinking about it? Has it found its way into „the Nina made me sell all my synths“ territory for anyone? It sounds reasonable, but might also just be severe GAS.
What I want is the motorized knobs and sound design facilities of Nina combined with the keyboard from the upcoming Polybrute 12. I guess I could get them both for only around eight thousand euros.
This begs to be made into a meme, but I don’t know the memes.
I can’t do them either. Someone here is sure to take up the challenge!
