SY Chip and Euclidean confirmed.
I’m pretty dumb but how can you tell Euclidean is coming from that?
Desc says “very very soon”, it’s not soon enough for me I’m excited to see what’s in store.
Awesome news, hope it comes with the others machines from 1.7 rytm.
It’s in the thumbnail
But also the last few seconds of the video you can see them tweaking the parameters
Looks like the same as DT 2 but under the TRIG button
my bad, i had to go back and look, it’s track 5 on pattern 3. in the mix it sounds like a real zildjian stack but I went to solo it to see what it is and it’s just “swishhhhh swishhhh” the way u have the filter envelope set
This is probably not going to happen, but I would love fx “neighbor” machines. Machines on tracks that take the input of the track to the left and apply 1 effect (and be able to chain these as far as you want). Maybe a mod device (chorus, phaser), tapestop device, bitcrush, ringmod, other verb types, compressor, comb filter.
With 12 tracks, I almost never feel constrained by number of voices, so to me it makes sense to have a few insert FX. And with the limited available fx already in the product, I could see adding a couple more going a long way.
Hard to find any evidence of 128 steps in that video though, shame. Probably too much to hope for, but I’d really like to see a simple sample machine added to the digital tracks. If the ST doesn’t get that, I can see myself sticking with the DT2 for a good while.
Nice, Euclidean mode
Again?
Merged threads.
So plausibly every new analog machine from Rytm, definitely Euclidean mode. i wonder if we’ll see any new digital machines, slides, new fx, 3rd lfo in this one or at any point
Definitely interested in how you made that china sound. Sounds so good
Thank you!
As an aside:
I really don’t know why so many people have it in their head that ST might get 128 steps? That one has always seemed farfetched to me. I think going forward, new hardware may get it, but it’s not like they added it retroactively to any of their modern devices - they only added it when they updated hardware to DT2. That’s one feature that has not ever been on my radar for Syntakt.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for new FX, I think any additions there would be killer.
Comments on the FB group say: “BD Acoustic, SD Acoustic, SY Chip, HH Lab, and Euclid is the new features I found when playing with it. There may be more stuff, I didn’t look for any scale quantisation etc.”
That sounds like plenty
Agreed, theres no way they’ll ever add 128 steps. If they started doing that I don’t think they’d start with the Syntakt. 64 steps is baked into the DNA of elektron. You want 128, you pattern chain, I’ve composed whole songs across multiple elektron devices synced together this way and it’s really not that bad of a workflow. Though I would like to see some kind of sound kit type of paradigm so that parameter tweaks across two patterns could be linked
They already started doing that with Digitakt 2.
And that’s why I’d prefer they add a kit system rather than more steps.
