I was only answering to why they have implemented m4l lfos if they are not 100% mappable from the device. Because they work on existing projects/pre-mapped templates. I didn’t say that I like this limitation : D

I realise its highly subjective, but I’m really interested in how much the p3 ‘feels’ like an instrument and how super duper solid it is MIDI timing wise etc.
If it deals with synching audio clips with sequenced hardware really well, it might look at it as a Cirklon replacement.
Might have to try one for science

Not without full m4l implementation, if you are really into complex sequencing, Even with full m4l implementation I can’t think of a single way to imitate something similar to intertrack operations on cirklon.
I’m on the cirklon waitlist.
There’s a random midi effect device that you can map to any other device parameter.
It can be mapped to a slice selection and locked to a tempo at various divisions of the clock, or free running. Ableton is very modular in that respect.
This is going to be one of the first things I test when I get mine (still waiting for shipping confirmation). Getting rid of one element in the middle (the audio interface) and what that means for latency, how tight everything is in sync, etc.

I’m a little embarrassed. But, oh man, the tension is slowly building. Has someone from the EU/GER already received a tracking number? I ordered on Tuesday morning and received the bill. The money has already been deducted, but no tracking information.

Oh absolutely, I don’t think I’d be looking to copy every feture/functiion etc. There’d definitely be trade-offs.
I was more thinking that at the moment, i’m sequencing with cirklon and using ableton more like a tape machine to record. But if the push has that ‘feeling’ of solidity etc it might kiind of streamline the process, if that makes sense?
Saying that, OT, Cirklon and a Push together might be fun haha
Ah nice, yeah please let us know how you get on with those things. For me I think it’s about the most important aspect.
Is there any good ableton push community? Was checking the ableton forums but there is nothing going on. Are Ableton not aware how important a good community is…and stressful😄

yeah, I’m in the same boat. Less gear and a more focused setup streamline the process and improve creativity. I guess it depends on what you use the Cirklon for.
