RuhRoh! Both the Gearnews and SynthAnatomy pages got taken down. DF Gate begins.

Edit: Drumf Gate?

I’m pretty sure this means there was never any such thing as a Drumfreak, Arturia politely notified the news blogs about their misinformation, and they promptly took down their erroneous reporting to avoid misleading their readerships any further. Nothing to see here. Everybody forget what you saw. Maybe close the whole thread just to be safe.

Just a tiny little thing becomes a news story for additional engagement , affiliate links and clicks on the webpage

It’s the attention economy everywhere .

It’s a red herring. They’re about to drop the SuperFreak.

Back up on Synth Anatomy, but no additional details:

Hell yeah. Most new hardware doesn’t really interest me these days but this is something I’ve been waiting for.

This is what has me most interested too. If the MiniFreak is anything to go by, it should have a robust sequencer with a neat twist or two; perfect for a little jam that can then go straight into the VST.

That said, even just the software by itself could be a big selling point for the next V Collection upgrade.

Minilab 37

I really like my Minilab 3 and am looking for a bigger midi keyboard, unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that they’ve done anything besides make it bigger, so i might have to go with the launchkey.

I hope it’s something like Bullfrog one that was just released, really like that one but $600+ for it automatically puts it in NOPE territory for me

A synthesizer that only makes 80s synth funk sounds? I’m sold!

So I was just looking at my Arturia account and my crossgrade discount around the launch of Memory V ends on June 14th. So I’m guessing they won’t launch a new product to crossover with that.

I doubt they would be messing with staging future pages/links very far ahead of time (more likely days than weeks or months) so perhaps we’ll get something around the 14th/15th June or soon after?

I’m not really interested in emulations of old synths so I’m quite keen on something new and original from them. Hardware would be great but even a drum soft synth would be amazing, it’s not a particularly crowded corner of the market so there’s room left for something new and interesting.

Drum synth with slice and dice would be rad. Would it also have touch-strip-style pads?

Let the rumors and expectation build. Seems like a “leak”

I hope it leans groovebox.

I’d buy that for a dollar!

The Drum got to skip the Micro and Mini size, and go right to the standard sized Freak?!?! It must be good.

I would not be quick to assume a drum sized freak is bigger or smaller than a Micro or Mini Freak. To me, it seems more likely this is not a new drum synth, but instead an ear drum sized freak. Or a size comparable to a miniature collectible little drummer boy.

Or perhaps, we were the drumfreaks all along?
