Disappointed that we are mergetastic with all these threads here. The MPC one highlighted how confusing it is. But I guess it is an Elektron forum, so it is what it is….
I wonder if the Drumfreak will have pads or a similar interface as the Micro. I feel like pads are more appropriate, but I would love some quirky idea.

Looks a little weird.
Chords? Notes? Undo next to Erase - like a laptop with a sleep button close to Delete or Esc? The mute button - can’t read what this group of buttons means, like a random layout. The main knob is more Astrolab thing than a Freak. Another undo under the main knob? The whole design is very different from other Freaks.
DrumFreak will be instant buy for me anyway, but this picture is really freaky – so many questions.

I was only thinking about this the other day. Do I need another drum machine? No. Am I interested in what it does? For sure.

Massively interested in this (if actually real).
I’ll probably do like I’ve done for all my new gear lately, buy it 3 years later.
It’s mostly a money thing, but I also like to see how much mileage people get out of this stuff after the initial hype has died down.

it would be so incredible if ARTURIA made an EMS version of the Matrixbrute. It’s basically laid out: 3 OSC, Matrix, analog FX … Adapt the rest (filter, trapezoid, etc) and it would be auch a killer machine.
This isn’t what I was expecting at all, but does look interesting. I need a new groovebox to collect four bar loops on like I need a hole in the head, but I wouldn’t bet against me buying this. Multitrack audio over USB, or even an Overbridge type thing, please.
Crucially, the tap/record/stop/play buttons are in WASD formation to make it easy to play first person shooters on.

P-locking Braids’/Plaits’ simplified synthesis parameters is a long-time dream of mine. Could be similar to the Monomachine’s magic.
Is there a groovebox with the MI code? Is the M8 it?
The mircofreak is one of my favourite synths ever. It’s fair to say I’m very hyped by this thing.
That’s one way I like to use my M8 with the macro synth, it’s really nice! Also the form factor and portability to capability is unmatched imho… but DrumFreak still had my interest
