OK now that Arturia went big with the creation of their own FullTouch keybed in the Polybrute 12, what stops them from including that into a range of keyboard products ?
They would lead the market on the high end with a FullTouch controller. Loopop specifically asks for this in his PB12 review.
Picture what could happen with CV ? Or what this means for arp, chord, and sequence control options ?
And this would work really well in an Astrolab FullTouch product !
Not sure this could get done in minikeys, but you know we can see people in this forum asking for it. ( We already have. )

Looks like DrumFreak has been on their website for a couple of hours with a 404 link associated. A really interesting drum machine with analog filters, lots of crazy digital machines, and the playful freak sequencer at a modest price seems like a pretty easy way to get a lot of people to buy one, hope they do the formal release soon!

I’d be particularly interested in that DrumFreak if it had a software counterpart like MiniFreak, be great to be able to play around with beats away from the computer and then easily move into the DAW.

I’ve been hoping for a drumfreak for ages. Arturia’s brute drum machines are good value for money and have very strong UX design. If they manage to keep those qualities while introducing a freak-style macro oscillator I think they’ll have a hit on their hands. I am a little concerned that their usual knob-per-function design will lead to limited controls and limited sound design options for the drumfreak though. I’ll be waiting for the announcement and some product details.

Yes, my first thought was that something with the DBI interface but with more versatile digital sounds could be great, but maybe the immediacy of the DBI interface isn’t really compatible with digital versatility. Although if ‘Freak’ means “lots of weird oscillators with macro controls” then I could picture a relatively knobby drum machine with a set of macro controls on each voice.
Been waiting a while for a new Arturia drum machine! I was banking on a Drumbrute “Pro”.
Huge potential! The Drumbrutes are exceptionally well designed and fun machines.
Do not need, but probably will want!
