I mentioned NAMM to my partner at dinner and she asked if anyone who attended went around saying “You don’t know, man! You weren’t there!”

I assume you know that Yamaha improved the keyboard on the M versions with a refined action on the semi-weighted keybed for the 61 and 76 key models and a better GHS graded hammer action for the M8.

I’m not sure why you would assume that. I sold my MODX6 and never looked back

Turning into a big year for audio interfaces, it seems! Fender, Korg, Yammie, SSL…

Of the bunch, the Fender Quantum LT 16 is honestly looking pretty good, to be honest. At least to this home amateur.

This Instachord looks like something from the 80s.

Guitar Hero vibes too.

I would really much like to be there, but unfortunately I live in Germany. At least there is still super booth in May I think
Does anybody know if there is a live stream or something like that?

I don’t know live stream but Sound on Sound will go to their booth and report it on YouTube

You can choose the order, Opto into FET, or FET into Opto, plus each can be applied to separate frequency bands, and flip that as well.

This is a spicy take but even though I have the L6max (a prime example of this type of gear) and shouldn’t be one to talk the fact that so much studio gear is now targeted at “content creators” instead of actual artists bugs me. I enjoy having access to more affordable and smaller studio gear that is very capable so I ought to be thanking them for expanding the market to incentivize the companies in this direction but podcasters and YouTubers are basically a pox on the world and I don’t like to see anyone encouraging them.
