NAMM 2018 - News, Announcements hopes and rumours

Nothing more than a pic at the moment

Rossum Electro-Music says they’ll be displaying the Assimil8or module at NAMM - looking forward to more news on this.

Not cheap, but then again it’s like an updated Emu E4 Ultra Sampler in a box, with a bunch of CV patch points. Or I guess another way I could look at it is my Emu Command station reborn as a module, with sampling

Yes agree 100%

Nothing from Akai?

I was hoping for news of a firmware update for the MPC Live and X, but nothing so far…

Oh cool, one of these is a multi band stereo compressor

It’s a close match to the dark trinity aesthetics too.

Just got word of a Moog + Casio collaboration from some buds gathering at the Casio booth. Polyphonic synth.

Omg this is awesome!

Erica Synths - Graphic VCO

You can draw your own waveforms and use wavetable and it’s one reason why I need a small Eurorack! Pretty awesome GUI for a eurorack modul.

Is that standalone or Euro?

Do you mean standalone, like it’s not a Eurorack modul? It is a complete synth just without keyboard. You don’t need a Eurorack case for this. The price was from a german website. It‘s 629 US dollar. It is actually not expensive, would this be made out of single Eurorack Moduls, it would cost probably twice as much!
LFO rate goes up to 3k, and the patchbay makes it pretty flexible. I want it almost as much as the DIgitone. DT1 or DTO, or are we back with DiGiTO? Anyway…

Here it is, looks very promising!

Might sound lame, but so far I’m not seeing anything that, for me, surpasses Ableton Live 10 in GAS levels. That’s a good thing I guess. Already trying to thin out the gear. No more space, no more money! Although, when I see more in-depth demos of the Digitone I could change my mind. And there’s the Behringer D which is on my list. And… maybe… maybe the PO sampler. Damnit!

I was pretty sure they would update their Advance keyboards after NI Kontrol mk2but heard nothing from them.

Yes GAS can be sneaky! I thought NAMM is one big fail, and now i have to buy a Digitone, Minibrute 2S and a Waldorf quantum!

my gas experience has reached new hights. i don’t even have a skiff ready yet, still taking notes to try and decide which modules to expand my semi with. this vco just took first place vco wise.

will put out regular synths and stuff i don’t use later. won’t demand highest possible price really since i bet the second hand market is about to flood

Yes damn Namm! I bought 2 PO’s and cases, and probably a Digitone eventually :smiling_imp:
