True dat. I got some screw drivah. We pop dat clutch if we gotta.
Mine gets used a lot without power cable attached and running on battery. Couch, garden, train, etc. Being a MK1, it doesnât have the built in speaker so will usually have headphones / speakers plugged in.

Reeeeeeeee! Good Thursday everyone! Still nothing. So angy
Pretty sure they are doing the typical akai thing, announce it and itâs available same day.
I know this oneâs a joke, but they would surely (hopefully) make an MPC Key 37 mkii as well!
But it be only available in redâŠ
This is what the delay is for, theyâve been trying to improve their technology so that they can make it even more red than it was before.
When you try and make beats on the Ultra Red MPC Key 37 MKII
Dude Roland could release the raging demon with that new TR release. Hurry up Akai before they take my money.
Itâs really interesting to hear such a variety of experiences from bad to excellent re: battery. I wonder if they switched it up at some point.
I donât even use the factory brick. I use a cheap USBC PD/DC cable I bought from Amazon for like $10 to power/charge Live 2.
Roland dropped something?!
Check the other thread brother . We might have a new challenger
My guy be sleeping on the big story of the day!
We are all but guaranteed for Oct 2nd Akai announcement at 10am ET. There is a slight chance for Oct 1st, but Oct 2nd is what Alto told me and it all lines up. I doubt we see anything before then at this point.
2nd makes sense for business. The 1st is all kinds of goop. Pay day, invoicing, dividends, meetings, stakeholder weigh-ins, supplier updates etc. Not saying that always happens but it makes sense.
Also Thu-Fri are usually when investors make bad weekend moves based on vibes.
It will be my birthday so will have to buy ))
This but in gold edition and add a cupholder
is that how much replacement batteries cost? I havenât ever looked into it⊠are they only available from akai support? are they an off-the-shelf component you can find elsewhere?
I spent some time with fabric on my computer last night⊠great plugin, realizing just how much the long memory load time discourages me from diving into it on standalone.
anyone else taking advantage of preset export on the vst versions of the standalone plugin? seems pretty great if itâs really just as simple as doing (or starting) sound design on the computer, saving the preset, and putting it on my ssd in the MPC to pick up where I left off. makes me wish there was a way to easily ssh or ftp into the MPC.
⊠isnât there a custom firmware out there somewhere? doing things like running an ssh or ftp server on the linux OS alongside the MPC software (like people are doing with extending-move)? anyone know if people still working on that?
