Imagine TE or Elektron giving its paying customers a product and feature roadmap for them to decide if their purchases will continue to be evolved to their needs. Crazy talk.
That is all absolutely amazing news- almost unbelievable! AKAI are on fire!
Yamaha A3000… omg … the sampler for masochists
I once had this thing (about 2008/2009) before I engaged with Elektron-gear … a nightmare to program, sample-loading was slow as hell, …
SCSI transfer speed was slow but the sampler in itself was pretty good. Filters and internal FX were really nice.
I can’t wait til the moaning starts again
I hope the part where it says, “addressing user-reported challenges with external gear” is about the MIDI On bug & that they finally killed that old roach.
yeah I know, used that thing rather as FX processor, but that size man… deep like a server, heavy as hell …
i had to find special cables, SCSI-drives and RAM from the 90ties … what a journey … I also organized a jaz-drive… (turned out to be broken) can you imagine that … 1,5 years of pain, terrible pain as a whole … and after I had enough … I sold it to a guy in France - another pain because I had no original package so I constructed a case made of pressed wood plates … when I finished this endeavor I told myself: never ever again - never ever again !!!
the Octatrack was a relief multiplied by 10000 in comparison!!!
No moaning from me at least! I can easily wait 3 more months.
You’re a good one though. You’re more of a glass-half-full than empty guy.
Ugh. Now I have to download and test something myself? Gross.
I know, a company supporting their product instead of releasing new shiny hardware. Worst company ever.
More info here.
So true… Such a big and heavy rack unit. And those flimsy knobs breaking with time…
The A4000 and 5000 were a bit better, but still…
My money is for constant Midi Clock . The Note off bug isn’t exclusive to external gear so I’m thinking that it isn’t that, although I would very much like it fixed. Saying that if external gear is refering to external sequencers then it could totally mean the Note Off bug. We shall see.
Yeah. I know this is marketing and euphemisms are the name of the game, but still: “Challenges” as a substitute for “problems” is so silly. A challenge is making a nice beat. MIDI notes being cut off are not
This is the same info that’s was posted above: MPC Thread : MPC Live - MPC X - MPC One (Part 3) - #3260 by Kultschar
They’ll fix the Note Off bug, and spin it as a new feature. I kid you not.
And the charge us for it as some advanced user mode that very real MPC head must have since it was on tha classic… then watch fools part with their money
Sorry, I didn’t catch up on this thread first.
