Itâs a good question. The mpc is built for many things. Youâre right. I do enjoy using the mpc like that⌠But my whole studio is controlled by my pyramid so in order for the mpc to better integrate it would be good to just use it as a sampler in the old_fashioned way they were used (on occasion)
No, I see. I do recall having track 1 with sound A on it. I set it to receive midi on channel 1, changed to track 2 With sound B and track 1 disregarded the incoming midi and affected track 2.
I just put it down to me not setting filtering/midi routing up correctly. (I havenât fully read the manual)
I just figure you canât do everything with each piece of gear and find a different way.
I hope youâre right! That would be great
This is FOR SURE!!
Cherish this moment you smug MPC owners because one day the same will update arrive on the Force, then I will laugh at you all!!!
Until then I will curse Akai and stare at you all in polite anger.

Your pyramid seq will be able to sequence your MPC on a per track basis
Fucking A. Now youâre talking
With this update? (havenât watched yet)
yes!
Sick!
Yes, it seems theyâve fixed it for midi-via-usb at least. I might just get one of those mini keyboards with a bunch of knobs that work via USB for this then.
All in all 2.8 looks good. I like the Q-Link overlays and that pad perform works in main mode now, these were two workflow gripes I had.
Looking forward to checking vidâŚgetting update. Sounding good!
May 14 you say!?
Are you beta testing? If so can you tell if global functions (q-links, modes etc) are midi mappable in 2.8?
@palm: so it seems, mid-year Valentineâs day, fall in love with your MPC X/Live/One anew
So my OT can sequence 8 different MPC tracks now!!!
unfortunately they did not put 2.8 on the beta forumâŚa bt strange actually and disappointing.
ooh. lovely update. easier switching between tracks was the one i was hoping for. happy days
The ability to input custom cord progressions! Beautiful!
