Haven’t read the book, but really enjoyed the film. Saoirse Ronan delivered an amazing performance (as expected).
If I had to watch one sharknado, which is the best of the franchise?
I like sharks too though, which one has both?
how about sharkula, how’s that one?
sharks are an overdone genre. its kitsch.
Not to me! I’m still rearin to go!
catnado looks watchable but I might regret saying this.
just found this though, which I would absolutely watch at feature length.
well I did like deep blue sea
Have you seen The Meg and Meg 2
Statham doing statham things .
I think I did watch the first one but I watch so many movies that the memory of them sometimes runs together. Most of what I remember is Rainn Wilson and the part when the larger meg eats the one that they managed to kill, or something like that.
Was the second Meg worth watching? I used to be a Statham fan but ever since the beekeeper I’m extra suspect of his recent efforts.
I did think that Wrath of Man 2021 was pretty good though. Statham doing Statham things as you so aptly put, however that might be the last one which I recall seeing and thinking was good.
His films are … mixed , getting worse
I think they’re becoming so dumb they’ll start naming them bee man, working man, shark man , transport man. He always explains his accent / military history at the beginning of each film … add some sad back story etc so there is some attempt at character development and motivation.
They are what they are …
Meg 2 - more dumb nonsense
There’s a bee keeper 2 in the works.
No one wants to see that. Just wanna see Statham do Statham things.
This why I rate all the movies and shows I watch on IMDB just so I can remember what I’ve seen.
Dear god if I had that kind of dedication to anything… That’s a really good idea though, unfortunately backtracking through god knows how many years of media would become a new hobby in and of itself. Sometimes I feel like there are more movies (and anime) that I’ve seen than ones that I haven’t.
I lack pretty badly in TV show knowledge after a certain point though. Totally swore off tv for years because I really hate the “rope you in and keep you going mixed with advertising and curt plot slicing” mentality which is so prevalent. Netflix changed some of that but I didn’t have the energy to catch up by that point, so I just never got reinvested in it.
At one point maybe 10 years ago (definitely pre-covid) I told someone “just wait and in a couple of years and you’ll see more major stars who you recognize doing television that those you recognize in films” and I feel like we’re there at this point. I don’t know half the actors doing films but a lot of major stars are fully wrapped up in television, both on the side of acting as well as production.
I just don’t have the energy for any of it, that’s why a movie is still easier for me to give up on in 10 minutes rather than wait 10 episodes to dip out on the last 2 because my second episode predictions turned out to be correct.
Stupid brain, stop coming up with answers. Nobody likes a spoiler.
I hear you. I swore off tv on the networks because of commercials, but I’ll buy the discs of comfort shows. I have bad taste in film. I know I’ve said it before, but I hate that streaming has made it so less stuff comes out on physical media in the states. I don’t want to rent my entertainment. I didn’t start rating everything until a few years ago. It’s been fun to go back to some from my youth just to rate it.
Saw Prospect yesterday. Not as good as I hoped it to be…
I love that film. I like my sci-fi cheap and gritty
Oh well, the style was super, just the script wasn‘t all that good
