Vincent dinofrio was a loveable little guy but didn’t think too much of j-lo.

lets be honest here. vincent peaked in Full Metal Jacket

This movie with judd nelson and lance henriksen is so bad I can still smell it more than 20 years later. This is back when it was just cheaper to buy the dvd than to rent it and it was part of my box of dvd regrets for many years. You’d probably love it.

Another of the worst but at a higher budget is pandorum. Fucking awful.

I don’t know much of his stuff at all but Vincent D’Nofrio was pretty awesome in ‘The Salton Sea’ (RIP Val Kilmer):

took me a click, but i have seen Lost Voyage.
but i do make it a point to avoid any movies with Dennis Quaid
(i did have to make an exception for The Substance)

I think I liked frequency, and also that one where he’s too old to play baseball, like a budget robert redford.

I really can’t stand ben foster but I think I made it through pandorum about 3 times over 10 or so years trying to get my money’s worth out of it.

Just watched this again for the 3rd time… not for the faint of heart. Not good for date night either…

The bed sitting room
Weird 60’s British thing with spike Milligan , Dudley Moore , Peter cook .
It’s weird to see so many 60’s actors playing their roles very ‘straight’ while the subject matter is bizarre . I’d love to find a documentary or something on it.

Warfare
It’s very intense and realistic ( I presume, I’ve never been in war)
What was odd is how they didn’t anticipate how the audience would add loud popcorn munching and bag rustling … seems to be a waste of money spending millions on the audio budget for foley / explosions and dialogue recording
They should’ve also added pauses just at the big impact events so that the nearby audience members could start texting and using their phone with their screens full brightness

As most films are downloadable within days of their main release I think I’ll buy a nice tv and cancel Cineworld .

This didn’t pan out as expected. Nor did the weird muscular shark show his face.

Ghosts… of the Civil Dead

Dark, psycho and heavy… love it.

Black Bag belongs in the bin

Absolute dog of a film

I liked it though it was very heavily brown / beige and 70’s looking.

Saw this yesterday. I thought I will do some selfcare while watching, but I couldn’t stop paying full attention to what was happening on the screen.

The gorge

Quite well done thriller ….

Trent needs to buy a new piano plug-in , he must be so bored of doing ‘that soundtrack’ though it’s in so many films I’m sure his bank balance is very healthy.

Saw Sinners in imax yesterday, absolutely loved it.

Well I won’t be watching this but it looks right up your alley.

Couple of recent ones.

Warfare - Brilliant. Very gruelling, but scratched my itch for a solid war film.

The Outrun - I think this is objectively a really good adaptation of the book. I couldn’t really enjoy it though as I read the book a few weeks ago and as always - 9/10 times the film cannot begin to do justice to the book.

Finally got to watch “A Real Pain” just now. What a brilliant movie. Perfectly shot, funny, emotionally moving. 5 out of 5, would recommend.
