No far from Behringer HQ
“If you are tempted to ask how the build quality is in the new, inMusic era of the brand, any concerns you might have can be brushed aside. The Moog Muse is a solid, robust and well-put-together unit. As with all Moog synths, it is assembled in Asheville and bears all the quality manufacturing hallmarks of its predecessors.”
i went from being a hater due to all the dumb super bowl / usher stuff to now adulating it as a fully realized dream synth
i think the competitive price point might be at least partially due to the inmusic merger
can’t really afford or have space for it, but am looking forward to sales later in the year to see how close to being it attainable it might become
I always wonder about comments like this. China can make amazing things. The iPhone, Mac, etc. Quality-wise it’s as good as anywhere. Workers’ rights-wise, not.
Yup and send men to the moon
Right, if Behringer made this it would cost 999
Apple, one of the biggest companies in the world, with probably the strictest QA standards. Compared to a small company who just laid off their US manufacturing. No offense, but your statement was extremely obtuse.
I know that they’re completely different synths but could the Muse have the sound of a Subsequent 37 for melodic techno ? I wanted the Sub for a long time now but a poly synth would be more versatile in the long run.
Enjoy!!! It looks like a really fun synth!
The Sub will be more versatile for a single sound (mono), but the overall sound qualitatively should be close enough between the two to do everything you want to do on one synth I would think. Especially since you’re leaning melodic.
Why not?
This is the age old argument. Can a Poly replace a Mono? I think the concensus is no. But it can sort of sound the same.
I think that’s a big plus. It may have been a long, weird, drawn out, boring, anticlimactic and head-scratchingly dull release, but at least when it finally did happen, there was plenty of stock in the stores today.
It’s hard to believe that it was almost 6 months that the first teaser happened at the Super Bowl. The only reason I watched the Super Bowl was to catch a glimpse of that synth. Oh, and the sports, because I’m a huge football fan. And I like to gamble on football too. And I love a good party as well, the Super Bowl really brings people together. And beer, there’s usually good beer at the party, and lots of it. And the food, all of the delicious food. You know what, I can’t wait for the next Super Bowl.
Does anyone know if this will get a battery-powered handle?
We are not Amused
That belongs in a museum.
Summary
I’ll show myself out. Don’t forget to tip your waitress.
Looks like it fits in a letterbox. Surprised
According to a Legowelt IG post he already has a tape being released with tunes he made on the prototype.
Legowelt + Jexus are probably my two favorite synth reviewers, good job Moog!
