Hi all,
I was fascinated to hear how Sophie was passionate about Monomachine and how much she used it in her production.
What I love so much about her music was her innovation in sound engineering. So it’s quite mind blowing to know that her go to was the MM!
But we are in 2021, and I’m wondering if Elektron has taken the magic of the MM and put it into other machines, before I go and buy one from Reverb.
Obviously the Digitone is going to do some of it. And I’d bet she’d had one with the MM.
But looking at the breakdown of the MMs architecture, it just seems like such a one of a kind beast when you consider it had so many different types of synthesis built in right?
As a refresh see this overview from cenk https://youtu.be/C32wLjSQIBQ
Tbh I’m keen to just get them all. I already have the DT and AH.
Does the Digitone have as much insane sound engineering potential as the MM? Or are they apples and oranges?
And how does the MM play with newer Elektron gear?
