Model:samples suitable for my 5 y old son?

I hope so. The future ellen alien . But seriously, one of my proudest moments was to get a friends boy interested in playing guitar. Now few years later he’s probably better playing than me. Looking forward to pass on the passion to our kids

My 8 year old (at the time) daughter liked playing with the Model:Samples when I had it. She didn’t quite grasp some of the more advanced features, but was able to put down some decent sounding looping tracks with it.

I gave my Microfreak to my 12 year old daughter the other day, because it just wasn’t gelling with me as much as I liked. (love the sounds and features, but the overall feel of it wasn’t my thing) She’s digging into it, and has already saved a bunch of cool patches, sequences, etc. and is starting to learn the modulation matrix. Probably not great for 5 year olds exactly, but it seems like a pretty solid synth for kids in general.

We’re planning to sync it up with my Rytm this week, and collaborate a little bit.
