I agree re the mixer/card. Also I think they got it right first time with the SP1200. So this with unlimited sample time and a few other tweeks is perfect for what i would use it for. The only negative is there is so little information about release date but about 2/3 months is the latest word.
Why?
The Pads.
When i saw exactly the same pads used on cheap midi controllers(exactly). I knew why i hated them . They just feel nasty and cheap to me.
2/3 months is the release time for the MKSREC1?
The designer stated the Beta testing is almost done(just adding live sampling tweek). And hopes to get them out in 3 months(that was 3 weeks ago).
I wonder what the price would be?
My guess is between 2-2.5k
Its a small manufacturer so im not expecting a pleasant surprise. I think around 3K.
3k would make it marginally cheaper (by around $300) on the Rossum. I cant see him aiming that high?
Are we talking pounds? If so around £2400 yes.
Yeah pounds.
Not sure what customs is like in America but in the UK customs for the Rossum was a biatch. Added around £900 to it.
Ā£2400 will have an irony with the ISLA
Tell me about it. Fortunately its built in the UK Yaaayyy!!!
Its available in around 8-12 weeksā¦So late summerā¦Suits me
Where did you hear this?
Dev popped up on GearSpace earlier
It sounds like he needs more time.
Filter encoders look a big improvement than using the back to control them like on the SP1200
well i was nearly correct with my Ā£2400 estimationā¦
Newsletter update -
Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all doing well!
Iām excited to share an update about the MKSREC 1 12-bit Sampling Drum Machine.
One of the most frequently asked questions has been about the price. Today, I can finally reveal that the MKSREC 1 will be priced at £1,899 + VAT/Tax + Shipping. This means that in the UK, the total cost will be approximately £2,278.80.
The beta testing phase is now complete, and I am currently building the machines. I expect to have a small quantity available in the coming weeks and will send another update when they become available.
Thank you for your patience and support.
Best regards,
Pawel
I guess I really should cancel a preorder I was looking forward to and hopefully my items for sale will sell to help whittle down the credit card debt a bit before heaving this onto it. I feel a strong need for this.
