Please sir, can I have less bits?

Yeah… I dunno this seems like a weird spot for this device.

The S2400 costs less and does more with expandability. The Reissue SP-1200 costs more so I guess this can compete against that… but for me if I cared so much about authenticity why get a still VERY expensive clone instead of the real thing?

The real 12 bit converters is not to be understated. Its the original with more features.

Does it have the option to sample at higher rates?

And I get that the point is the 12 bit sample rate derived sound. The Isla has both options albeit the 12 bit is an emulation? They both look good.

Some big names behind this. His office is at Regent Street centre of London. The rent must be astronomical.

Isn’t that just a mailbox or registered address?

Exactly. There’s a lot of mail box addresses in central London with fancy post codes. I remember noticing several esoteric organisations using the same mail box in Covent Garden some years back. Also, I used to work for a place that held the mail box for A Guy Called Gerald, though sadly was never on shift when he came in. It’s pretty common practice anyway.

Why would you have a mailbox away from your workplace?

Sorry to be obtuse, but it’s pretty obvious why!

No its fine. In my country we usually have mailboxes at the location where we work. Unless its a fraudulent activity.

In the UK people rent mailboxes when they don’t otherwise have an office address to make available, or they haven’t got a regular address which can receive mail (living on a canal boat, for instance), or when they want a London postcode but live abroad most of the year. It’s pretty common practice and there are checks to try and mitigate fraud. It’s basically like having a VPN for your house.

But that sounds dodgy to me. Like he could run off at any moment.

I know he lives in England btw. His workplace is in London as he stated he was looking for premises in London to build the units.

No i think its not a mailbox.

He’s probably working out of his home and doesn’t want a bunch of strangers on the internet knowing where he lives.

No as hes quite open about where he is based.

I’m just saying that’s the main reason people use PO boxes. I’m fine with the people who buy my records knowing what city I live in but I don’t want them showing up at my house.
