A friend of mine has an A4 mk1 that has some switches that don’t work.
More precisely:
- trig 3 and 11
- keys E and C+
- menu OSC1
- track 3 selector
I have cleaned it, ordered the parts to Elektron, and replaced them easily…
But… it changed nothing!
Felt so candid. I would have loved to have fixed this so easily…
I suspect this slightly corroded chip would be the culprit… but there has to be more.
Needed to yell at clouds / understanding ears.

Can you reflow the solder on the chip? If you have a rework station (I don’t) you might be able to give it a shot.
I have an electric desoldering tool but I wasn’t ready to invest the money in the rework station, although I’d like to get one.

A rework station/hot air station is kinda nessecary imho if even if you arent repairing. Even if you’re just building, a soldering iron is just a pencil. The hot air station is the eraser. You don’t have to spend crazy loot on it either. It also makes smd a ton easier and quicker

I have a hot air station, but last time I used it I destroyed my MM screen
