These days expensive doesn’t mean soft. If you cared about the environment half as much as your b-hole you’d be making your brother and his family wipe with sticks and leaves or whatever they make this overpriced sandpaper out of.
Joking about the environment is a much better use for it. Caring is overrated. Jokes are where the money’s at.
FTFY
It’s a bit like calling writers ‘bookshop fillers’.
I think it implicitly says the host platform is more important than the content. The label ‘content creator’ suggests they’re not making their work for the sake of the work, but for the sake of stocking the platform.
On the other hand, maybe it’s no different to someone being introduced and saying “I work in sales”…. just a generic opener. But it feels weird, because all this ‘content’ started as people’s hobbies and such, but the term just seems a bit dismissive, as though the nature of it doesn’t actually matter.
This is how it feels to me as well, it’s just “content”. It’s not art, it’s not music, it’s not videos, drawings, photos, crafts or anything of that kind, it’s just “content”. May contain traces of nuts.
A “content creator” is just someone who fills a container with contents.
I had a madras kebab last night.
Been creating heavy content all morning.
Too much information
Ouch! That’s brutal! Good luck!
Whenever someone talks about creating content I always imagine it like they’re extruding Play-Doh or the kind of pink industrial sludge that Chicken McNuggets are made from—“How much for 3 lengths of content?”
While I’m miserably gitting…
STOP FUCKING CALLING ME, GUITAR CENTER!
STOP CALLING ME DURING THE WORKDAY.
STOP CALLING ME AT NIGHT.
WE ARE NEVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER
