‎miRack, VCV rack ported to ipad

Does miRack works on iOS12 with iPhone 5s or firts iPad Air? And can you work on the same patch on several devices?

Is there any means to pass audio into miRack? Is there a way to do CV to MIDI out to use all the neat sequencers on external sources? Not seeing a way to do either of these things.

Pretty sure it loads as a separate effect AU to pass audio through, I’d have to check though. It’s been a while

It works

Props to whoever made these tutorials! Both of you have lovely voices

Unlike other videos where people tend to rush - actually that’s most people - this gentleman goes at a nice, relaxed pace. This one is a true beginner tutorial - he assumes the viewer really, really doesn’t know anything about modular.

This guy rushes more, but it’s easy enough to follow

@muzka Check these out

Midi-out In the latest Testflight version!

Anybody found a VCO that sounds reasonably close to a Dreadbox VCO?

What got me on the miRack train is the idea of prototyping my future real modular in miRack since all the real Mutable Instruments modules I might want are available in miRack.

I pretty much want to build a modular around Mutable Rings and Dreadbox VCO(s)

Does anyone know if Floats (Maths emulation) is available in miRack? I want to setup an Elements and Maths patch as I have an interest in purchasing these hardware modules as a first endeavor into a small Euro setup. Not looking for alternatives and I’m dead set on Elements/Maths.

Also, with miRack, is what you see what you get for modules or can you import or install others? I can’t find Floats anywhere and I was thinking maybe it needs to be purchased and imported from somewhere.

Thanks in advance!

MIDI out is coming, as well as more modules

I realized this when I started following along on my iPad, couldn’t find the sequencer module he was using, and noticed his screen shows 50 sequencer modules while mine just shows 46. He confirmed that he’s working with a beta version of the next release.

I am, at this very moment, just going down this rabbit hole. Stoked for the MIDI out.!

Does anyone know what pen this guy is using in the second video? some neat stylus?

I think he said Apple Pencil in one of his videos, but I’m not sure. I’m guessing any stylus will work for this purpose.

miRack pairs really well with external sequencers once you map the MIDI CC’s to parameters within your miRack patch. I made a couple of patches that allow for timbre morphing, filter frequency sweeps, delay and reverb send control from the OP-Z to miRack. These patches can easily be adapted for an Elektron MIDI control workflow.

Befaco Rampage might work for your needs.

I use a Logitech Crayon with mine. It’s brilliant for all those tiny knobs on iPad devices. $99 CAD. Less than half the cost of Apple Pencil.

bro i’m not paying a hundred bucks for a fucking pen lmao. that’s half as much as my ipad.

I think the point we’re trying to make is you can buy any stylus and it should work.

As part of my beginner studies I copied the patch from this video, then messed with the Harmonics, Timbre, and Morph knobs on the Macro Oscillator 2. I got an interesting organ chord progression.

Finally got around to checking this out. Thanks for including a patch walkthrough in the video.

I messed around with triggering Rings directly then I heard it’s actually meant to be triggered by another oscillator?

I’m still new to the Mutable Instruments modules and how they operate, and so far have just figured out stuff by turning random knobs.
