MIDI through (Arturia - M:C - Korg NTS-1)

Hi,
I have a Korg NTS-1 connected with MIDI out and that works fine (I also have Pocket Operators connected to that Korg, so they also run in sync).
The Korg is not really nice to play with the onboard touch strip, so I would like to use a MIDI keyboard. But since the MIDI-in is already occupied, I have to do it through the Model Cycles. I tried, but that doesn’t seem to work.
Is it possible and if yes, how?

Your M:C currently has a setting allowing midi out. ( because “Korg NTS-1 connected with MIDI out and that works fine” )

If you want to see in midi in relayed to midi out, you will need to change that setting to allow midi thru instead … and then midi out will stop working.

There is some quirky setting that kind of allows both at the same time, with limitations. I think it was a feature of the last firmware update. I’ll see if I can find it.

EDIT: Here you go

I tried with midi thru, but that didn’t seem to send the midi signal from the Arturia to the Korg. I’m not sure if it would help (you can select pitch and/or click, if the pitch came from the keyboard and the tempo from the Model, that would be nice).
Maybe change the order of devices. Arturia - Korg nts1 - Model:Cycles

I’m a real beginner with limited knowledge and experience

Exactly. Try following the suggestion I posted above (after “EDIT:”). Ask again if you can’t make it work.

Ah! Interesting! I didn’t know about that auto channel 10. I will read a bit more in the manual and testing some more then.
Thanks!
