Micromonsta 2

Ergh, i can’t into maths and dates lol. My bad! 3.5 years. I saw the 18, but that was the day in november when i placed the order :see_no_evil:

Big apologies! 5.5 years did seem a bit off. I blame… errr… being tired!

I have this as well, although I have the impression it only happens on specific pages. Couldn’t troubleshoot thoroughly, since I lived in Argentina until a week ago so sending it for repair wasn’t plausible. I just relocated to Berlin so I could look into it, haven’t used it lately since it was replaced by Digitone in my current live setup.

Yeah, I was a bit lazy and didn’t make a video of the issue to show @elektrosamplist if it’s just a matter of some deoxid spray in the right spot, or it needs a pot replacement

Accepted. 5.5 years…I am nearly 50 yo and thought wtf, time is running faster and faster !

Fixed it for me.

Send me an email (no PM please, only an email to the support), I’ll reply with a proper way to fix this.

Repaired, but not by me…
Lots of issues: this is not fair, it has an issue with the chip driving the output (that’s why there is no sound…). I’ll gladly fix it but the cost of shipping back and forth is close to the MM2 price (bought used from a country where we do not ship because we cannot handle support there). End of the story.

Just received my Micromonsta 2 ! Pretty excited !
I had a question, is there a way to use Polyphonic Pressure as a source of modulation ? I connected my MicroFreak for a quick test and I can’t seem to get it to send Poly Pressure, tried aftertouch (but I assume that’s channel aftertouch) and velocity with no luck.
Thanks for the candies

Just got my order in!

My last opportunity to purchase the Micromonsta from Audiothingies was 14 months ago. So about a year wait time in between batches, for anyone interested. Can’t wait to make some micro techno!

It was almost exactly 13 months wait in my case. Decided not to get it, since I got a few other things in the meantime and am currently considering selling/downsizing. By this time it’s probably already with new happy owner (maybe it’s one of you guys), hopefully I won’t regret the decision

Won’t work.

But welcome to the forum! MM2 does a lot of other great things…

Linnstrument + Micromonsta2 = best friends

At the other end of the scale, it also works (via MPE) with my QuNexus Red, though the amount of control I actually get isn’t sufficient to do much more than make me wish I had a larger controller…

Still waiting after more than a year I think.

A year seems a bit long, was 9 months for me, are you sure it’s not less than that ?

I can understand, that this sucks, but MM2is built and programmed by a single person. He is not Korg, he cannot do massiv batches of production. Every time a new batch arrives, he sends out mails to those who wait. If there are more on the list then products in the batch, machines might be sold out already when you click the link. That’s how those independent productions work and is that way with every single one-man-product.

when you look at the second hand market, you will see, that MM2 isn’t sold that often. So it’s not just hype, it is a good product and people like it. Why should he purposely sell less devices in that case. All that does, is making people unhappy and him earn less money.

Don’t take that personal!

MM2 MPE? I had no idea lol
Gonna try hooking up geoshred on the iPad
Anyone done something similar?

Yet another guy complaining about something that doesn’t exist.
16 months? Redo your math
Out of stock? No. Smart people just reply to their email and will get a new password.

I made a small mistake by sending too many emails inadvertently. Bam someone complains on forums. Wow…

Not at all, we do several batches per year, but, as it is explained on the product page, we do not email everyone at each new batch.

EDIT: it’s true however that the current waiting time for a new subscriber is around 1 year, we’re trying to reduce this time.

I thought, “Why didn’t I think of this? I have Geoshred somewhere.”

But I have Geoshred Play, which doesn’t do MPE.

But there is a separate Geoshred Control, which is free, and only does MIDI/MPE.

I’ll wait, though, until you do the experiment. I’m particularly interested in what you discover about what sort of sounds on the MM2 work well with the Geoshred control surface!
