Make Noise 0-CTRL

pretty sweet little beastie.

initial gripe: damnit why isn’t it eurorack-able? would be a great replacement for my 2 Pressure Points and Brains. yes, I’m sure I can mod it, but it shouldn’t have to be that route.

Phew. I don’t need this! I do think the per-step time feature is neat, but not enough to want to buy it.

Welp guess i was somewhat right. Interesting to see that they did not make it more digital control. Not sure if i will get this , but not also sure i won’t either. I could ditch PP and put more monome or an ER301 in my case i guess! Thinking about it for the price. I think ill pick this up later in the year.

That would have been great to have that while I still had an 0-Coast, would have loved that release 3 years ago lol

Looks like a great device at that price point, been wanting something along the lines of the pressure points/touchplate-oriented for awhile now but didn’t want a bigger skiff so… seemingly perfect for me. I am such a Make Noise fanboy.

It looks interesting, but I am on the fence with it. I dig that it is all analog, but I wish they would have added a little digital control, at least to let you store even a handful of saved patches, like they had the stored states with the Tempi. I guess I am just not sure if I need another sequencer at this moment. $399 seems like a decent price, especially seeing that Make Noise stuff is very well built. Very cool that they are keeping with the 0 Coast format. I was beginning to think they wouldn’t do any more in that format, so still hoping they do an 0-FX at some point.

looks massively fun and perfect for getting lost into generative noodlings.
But in my case at least, also perfect for finishing nothing.

Gary Lineker said it best: ”Synthernet is a simple place inhabited by 22 (or so) men who chase bleeps and bloops for 20 minutes (except for Cuckoo who does it for the whole 90) and at the end, the German wins."

Sequencers pitch, strength and time ala Buchla. No quantisation. Independent step timing. Looks really cool even just as a touch plate pressure sensitive controller.
if they can release an FX version, that would a powerful little standalone trio without giving up a kidney. Although with a pod case and the Lyra fx / mimeophon

Loopop’s video is like brain surgery on this little thing :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I think it’s closer to the Serge TKB than anything Buchla made/makes. but I’m no Buchla specialist.

Tony mentioned both in the sonic state video. :+1:

How are we supposed to play Take On Me with only 8 steps?

Yeah I’m probably more interested in this as a touchplate controller than the sequencer part, just not 100% on how the pitch/strength/time rows can be used to control other cv (well pitch is pretty obvious)

as always, mylarmelodies had some nice jams going in his video

Hmm really cool seeming, you can make a little mini buchla easel type thing with it and the 0 coast but maybe more excitingly it is a cheap easy way to bring some westcoast style sequencing to other CV controllable gear. Curious of what it could add to a Pro2 or Pro3… think I might need to get one.

The videos showed off some nice features. I am still on the fence with this one, but pairing it with my Microvolt 3900 would bring hours of endless noodles. So many noodles, I wouldn’t even be hungry for dinner.
