Thank you!
“u-he soon”. Well, I’ll take that. They do good work and I believe they are taking the time to get it right. It’s a good sign that it’s prominently advertised at this show.

Just been catching up on some of the Sonicstate content. Looks a really good time, I almost made it last year and there was no chance for this but I really do need to make the effort to get down from the frozen north for this next time. Obviously it doesn’t have the draw for “big fancy-dan new releases” like Superbooth but equally it’s no slouch either and all the other talks and live sets are cracking. The line-up for the live stuff being especially cool.
I’m dressed in a high quality middle aged man costume. Glasses, beard: check.
Best music purchase I’ve ever made honestly. This thing is so, so good. Like for me synths/drum machines/etc have always been fun jamming or song sketching things but I’d very rarely use them for songs I’d release (other than the AR). This one however sounds so good out of the box it’s become a staple for the majority of my bass, lead and pad sounds.
edit: just realised I replied to a post from 2024.
point still stands though!
I did love playing this last year. How has the updates for it been flowing!? Last I checked some parts was still not ready
I actually think there’s more exciting new stuff debuting at Machina this year than there was at Superbooth.
The planetary assault systems session seemed good … I do hope not many people left after seeing the tr-09 acb digital drum box … it’s not analogue !!! Oh the horror .
From Urs on their own forum (hosted on KVR), TLDR: still coming but they ran into a problem, followed by a description of the 4 oscillators.
*not my question, but I appreciate the answer/info:
So, fitting in 4 oscillators was easy. Apparently, building a mechanism to swap modes for alternatives is what’s taking a lot of time, since for instance some settings of Mode 1 may be needed for Modes 2-4, and the team is going back and forth between different options…
As for the oscillators, they’re bread’n’butter virtual analogue ones (triangle/sawtooth/PWM/supersaw) with a built-in sub oscillator, coarse/fine tune a built-in LFO with rate control and depth of either vibrato or PWM, and a special sawtooth/chord mode with a selection of chords. So basically 8 parameters per oscillator, each CVz encoder represents one parameter: Waveform, octave, semitone, cents, sub osc volume, “modifier” (depends on waveform: Vibrato, PW, PWM, Chord Select), LFO rate, Glide rate.
Each oscillator has a pitch CV input and its output, and that is pretty much it. The two CV inputs can be routed to each oscillator to control pitch and either LFO depth, Modfier, Glide.
On top of that each oscillator can use CVz’s built-in quantiser.
So the compromise here is that they don’t offer any kind of FM, Sync, etc., and CV inputs are obviously shared (but can do different things on each oscillator).
1.0.1-beta.5 or something like that
I was going to post the exact same thing, but held off because i feared attacks from the Superboothers.
That said there is always the impressions from what’s fresh in the mind.
I am also waiting for the odd post, “Was Machina dead this year ?” Every show thread seems to get one of those, or 'The show was boring."
I went yesterday and it was really great, nice food, lots of geekery. The beetlecrab guy was really nice to chat to (I love my tempera so much). It was great to see and touch things. Interesting how it can cure or augment lust, not entirely predictably (probably not very accurately either, five minutes noodling…). I wanted the bastl thyme more (even tho I’m sure I could do the same things well with OT). I didn’t touch the torso s4 at all because it’s a spendy danger area. I’m not really deep into the eurorack hole but there was lots of great other stuff.
Sad not to see deluge, TE, telepathic or m8 folk there. But it’s a long journey!
Last year TE were there but I think it was more of a third party rep they had from the UK to do it rather then travel themselves. Guess no appearance at all in any form then.
This one looks really nice and has some good flexibility and control. Priced well too.
Thought about creating a thread for it.
Think of the savings you get from protecting your gear though, with a Decksaver.
Sorry to not see more folk there. I was knackered today and my feet hated me so didn’t stay as long as I had intended to. Great to see the old friends - and new ones (@Kirz
) - that I did encounter! Definitely one to revisit next year, along with Superbooth and the obvious (to a South Yorkshireman) return of Synthfest.
This looks really nice for those with a combination of different types of equipment.
I like the idea and neatness of adding stickers to the buttons.
Good name too – Faderpunk.
This could really change the way you configure and run your system. I am thinking about how to rework my system.
ADDED : I could see adding a MIDI channel splitter to this.

Sadly no. ![]()
Planetary Assault Systems was INCREDIBLE last night, oh my god. And Tim Exile blew my mind.
