This looks a hell of a thing. As well as having the best theme tune ever. At £500(ish) could easily justify getting it and offsetting the cost (or better) by flogging all manner of small boxes that it can pick up the job of. LFOs, sequencer, midi controller, midi to CV and vice versa, envelopes. Slightly worried about buying something which requires (if I understand what they are saying) an online App Store to on and offload functionality. But beyond that, find it hard to think of a reason not to have one.
Faderpunk has a browser-based configurator for managing the device. It’s not an app store in the conventional sense as the apps are freely available.
I ordered the second it got available! Looking forward getting it! Using scenes in modular seems like a good time
Looks ideal for performance setups.
Makes me think about how to rework my system.
The control for modular devices could really come together with this.
Something i could see adding though is a MIDI channel splitter.
I’m really keen on the euclidean sequencer controlled by faders, that looks really fun
This and the Hapax. Change my mind.
Additionally, I’ll mention that the ATOV folks are quite active on their Discord and being responsive to user feedback and requests.
This looks dope. Perfect for a small eurorack setup where the right mix of utilities like envelopes, sequencers and LFO’s can take up to much space.
I really like it but going to return mine for a swap, it wobbles on a flat surface so I not sure if that is the rubber feet being different or if the chassis is twisted.
I would probably just find out about that if a couple of the faders weren’t a bit scratchy on this one.
Expected more for the money, but in general it seems good enough for me to try another one and see if that is better.
Happy to report the replacement faderpunk does not have any scratchy faders.
It does still wobble on a flat surface, this one seems a little worse for that than the first one. I can’t see any warping of the case but then the rubber feet are all the same size too. Not a major issue and can be fixed easily enough.
